Itchy BUM!!

Hey all, less than 2 weeks ago i was on VERY strong anti biotics for a really bad throat infection.

so all of the sudden i go out drinking (feeling better by now) get shitfaced on beer.

the next day i wake up and ive had a itchy anus and area since. its nto so severe that i cant sleep at night, more just when i try to walk around.

yesterday i had diarea, and today i am constipated. (still itchy both days).

my mom suggested putting on yogurt to balance ph levels if its a minor fungal infection (which might make sense cuz the strong anti biotics might have giuven me a fungus).

what do u guys think? thanks!
 
dude trust me its spotless. one of the first things i saw when i googled was to make sure my bum was clean. belive me man its clean. im also sure not to overclean it as that can be a problem from what i read.
 
Pruritus ani is what you want to google. The antibiotics is a clue that yeast like organisms could be causal. General advice for itchy bum is to limit sugar, caffeine, and alcohol.

Pruritis it could be... Or you could also go see a doctor, as you may have PARASITES . Stop scratching please...you could get eggs under your fingernails and pass it on to your mouth and the whole cycle begins anew.
 
This is almost 100% a fungal yeast infection. I have been on antibiotics for a while and just the other week I got the same thing. REALLY itchy butt. Spread a little to my genitals too. It's NOT comfortable. I went to the doc and he said yeast infection and prescribed some antifungal medication. About a week later it's almost all better.

Antibiotics don't "give you a fungus." You already have yeasts living in your GI tract. Antibiotics kill off the good bacteria that keep the yeast in check. Then it gets out of hand.

Go see a doc and get some anti-fungals! Nystatin works for me.

Also, take good care of your mouth. Yeast infections can create a "thrush" condition in the mouth where it gets really tender and raw.

yeah i think youre right man. i started eating a cup of natural yogurt a day too and i feel much better. gonna go to the docs today and ask him about fungus's.

thankfully the itchying is down like 85% after i started eating a lot of yogurt.
 
when i had an itchy anus for exteneded periods when i was a kid, we found out it was pinworms. i had to sit in the tub for a half hour every night before i went to sleep.
 
simple one... too much sugar in diet ~(from drinking a shit load of beer) - this is what causes the itchy arse...

drink lots of water, will pass within 24-48 hrs.
 
Pruritus ani basically means itchy bum. :)

Alcohol and anibiotics basically have the same effect - disinfectants. They kill bacteria, both bad and beneficial, leaving an imbalance in the gut and intestines, or a yeast overrun. Totally controllable with diet.
 
i think your right, my genetals started to itch, and i went to the doc today.

he said there wasnt much to see really and just prescribed an anti fungal cream. so far seems to be working, im also eating a cup of yogurt and 2 cloves of garlic a day.
