any1 knows if its better than purple haze? i reseacrhed on google and people say all good things about it n i think ima get some of that shit =P
 
First of all say purple bud not purple haze, it's a very rare phenotype of haze and maybe.000001% of bud that has that name is the real deal.
It depends on the plant not the strain as a shit grower could make mids out of bluberry and a good grower can grow fire out of bagseed.
 
Trainwreck is one of my favorite strains. A hard hitter and a strong one at that. Oh how i miss my Trainwreck :\
(please remember this was medical though)

Trainwreck > Purple Kush

ftr though, you're talking about two completely different strains

Trainwreck (if its legit) being a sativa, and Purple Kush being an indica

apples vs oranges.

As TMD said though since this isnt going to be medical, seeing as you're in Chi-town, the potency has to do with the grower.
 
I enjoyed it but AFAIK I've never had purple haze.

I wish I knew the name of this one strain I had smoked that was very strong and psychedelic and it was probably mostly Sativa or full Sativa.

Yeah, what did the buds look like? If it was really psychedelic it might have been pretty Hazey, which is definitely not a bad thing.
 
I've had some fine lots of TW, but its highly-variable. The best have a strong sativa buzz, but enough indica to create a powerful body effect.
 
comparing trainwreck to purple hazeis like comparing a gracious eagle to a vulture. the REAL purple haze (extremely rare but have heard about it from very smart and trustworthy people) is mind blowing. i would describe trainwrecks as dank. most of the kush around here is better than trainwreck idk why its reputation is so good.
 
Trainwreck is a clone only strain. The real deal is something to talk about, but there are a couple thousand strains I'd love to get my hands on. It's the stoner version of talking about athletes.

"Oh yah... you heard about that Tom Hill Kush? I think it's going to be the best this season."

"No way man. Trainwreck is the best."

It's a good way for people to waste time trying to figure out what the best is when the fact is that tastes vary and "best" only works in a very conceptual and momentary way for a single person and often times people agree about what is better, but we cannot ever know enough to know what is best.

I've gotten ounces and ounces of trainwreck and believe me, it is on the the dankest buds ive smoked, ive smoked amnesia haze, and its way better than that, its almost better than most of the kushs ive smoked such as hindu kush, og kush, triple x kush, and other kushs, its almost on the same level, maybe a little higher of sour diesel, and ive smoked alot of legit strain names. some of the leaves were purple on mine and the smell is just ridiculous, its like a spicy tingly smell that burns your nose when you take a nice whiff, and on top of all that, its unbelievably keify. ahhh i cant wait for that to come around again...
 
i smoke trainwreck all day its good as hell just mabe some hash from all the useless buds it puts everybody to sleep potent but not my favorite taste a little piny with a hint of lemon. and the shit we been gettin has purple on it but that means nothing really its not a deficiency so just what the bud does im gonna try a cross with orange krush soon here.
 
No one ever mentions that each plant is an individual and the fact that marijuana is a tetraploid so the variation between plants with the same heritage can be huge. One OG Kush compared to another might be less similar than compared to another plant.

no joke. good weed is good weed, regardless of its "name". i could give someone any kind of nug, and call it whatever i want, they wouldn't know the difference.

and don't tell me "you dude! i smoke "x" everyday! i can identify it by smell!"


no.... you smoke "x" because that's what the person you bought if from calls it. and its bomb ass because they grew it that way. or its weak ass because they grew it that way.

its grow dependent. forget names.
 
any real stoners know that "purple haze" does not exist anymore, the strain is LONG gone, and has been since the 70's. It was crossbred so much that the original Purp Haze was Lost, and itll never come back.

Yes, amnesia haze = some STRONG stuff, its my 2nd fav strain next to the Kemo i get
 
To say one strain is better than the other is all subjective. I enjoy train-wreck very much, its on my top 5 list. I enjoy it more than most other strains, is it better? Who am I to say that?
