Ran out of gauzes?

Right guys I need some ghetto toking advice, i've just used up my very last gauze/screen whatever you call it and it's a sunday so nowheres open to get anymore. I've got a nice tasty quart sat on my desk smiling at me and no way to smoke it.

Anything I can use as a makeshift screen? i'd just clean the gauzes but i've done it already about 60 times and they are riddled with holes. I'd smoke it shotty (use a screwed up rizzla for the non-europeans among us) but I don't wanna waste any of my stuff (and save my lungs)

so umm, any advice guys? I know your all a bunch of crafty little buggers when it comes to shit like this.

& Smoking a spliff/joint/blunt/ paper based thing is out of the question as the nearest open garage is very very far away :(
 
i've used stems as screens many times. just make sure to soak it in water so that it doesn't burn.
 
^ Errm I don't quite understand that? isn't the stem the downpipe? how do I use it as me screen??
 
One of the best techs I learned for makeshift screen is using the screen inside sink faucets.

You can usually purchase these at stores like Home Depot or Lowes. They sometimes are sold as department stores as well.

If you can easily screw your sink faucet off, you might be able to pop the one already inside out.

Just make sure if you do this you burn off anything the screen might have been coated with before you use it to smoke, you don't want any of that in your lungs.
 
Grab a drill a chunck of wood and make a chillum?

Or if your a bong person its pretty easy to whip one up, what do you have lying around?

Apple pipes are cool. If you have headphones some of them have metal screens you can use. You can use one from the sink.
 
Plastic bottle with a hole near the bottom, tin foil over top of bottle, tiny pin holes, weed on top. Burn weed, inhale from hole at the bottom. Get high. Just be careful not to tip the bottle over, or the weed will all fall off (rookie mistake).
The same can be done with a drinks can - just make a dent in the side, prick it with a pin, pop the weed on the dent and inhale the smoke through the drinking hole.

Smoking out of plastic or soda cans is very unhealthy. If you have nothing but cans and bottles, just don't smoke at all.
 
^^ Cause it's grim, and i've got much more than plastic bottles to smoke out of. Cheers for the helpful tips guys, I borrowed the gauze from my taps and that worked sweet for the evening (made sure to give it a toasting first though)

Now i'm stocked up on proper gauzes i'll have to remember some of these suggestions.
 
a pebble with suffice....

I find very little use for screens in my pipes.... grind up bud, take one of the larger bits and put it in first... should keep most of it from comming through...

eventually the hole will get smaller from resin accumulating around it....

this is assuming your using glass, and if your not, buy a damn glass pipe....

Why would you be inhaling plastic fumes, its not like the flame even comes close if you do it right. And as for drink tins, fair enough. Ive done it more times than I can remember.
