Hey I have two files of medical kief (about 2gs) I tried pressing some and it did not work out very well i just heated some in foil and pressed down. I mean it worked but I found no benefit and think lost some of its potency. Anyway I was wondering how i should use it to waste less I just put some rocks in a bowl or sprinkle on bud.
 
i either put it on bowls or in a blunt. Or I'll buy an oil burner from the cig shop and smoke it through that.
 
Yeah man ya gotta smoke that shit with some weed. Id prob make my bowl 50/50 weed/kief.

If your concerned about not using lots of bud the tiniest pinch you can take that will keep the kief from pulling through is peachy. But i would never consider smoking kief with anything but more greens. Ash works ok. I wouldnt trust it, it also gets pulled through easily.
 
the easiest way to make hash from kief is this, i've done it and it works surprisingly well, obviously you don't need to collect it with a brush from a electric grinder like they do.

Thanks that was a great guide. Is there any benefit in pressing it though? If not I don't really see the point in doing so because I can just put some on top of weed.
 
uhh no, haha i thought thats what you were trying to do. i mean you can smoke it without the weed easier if it's pressed but even then you can still throw your kief into a cleaned out light bulb or a (hopefully) un-used meth-pipe type deal and vape it. I just thought you wanted it pressed.
 
Cool thanks no I mean rather no go through the trouble I just wanted to know if there was a difference I never really had my on kief so I don't know much about it.

What I do when I have kief left over in a sack which is mixed with little bits of weed is put a piece at the bottom of the bowl then pack the kief down on top. Usually I fill a whole bowl with it, and it isn't 100 percent kief, but most of it is. I just hold the lighter to it a little bit and suck in slowly taking slow hits. Usually every hit gets you a ton of smoke, and I cover the bowl.

Why not just out a little nug in a kief vial it will stick to it. This just sounds like it would only mess it up.

I find that the meth style pipe works the best and wastes the least amount of material.
 
IMO, this is the easiest way to make hash from kief. I tried it myself, it took five minutes and no items that you wouldnt have lying about your home anyway.

You will need:
Kief
A small baggie/plastic from cigarette packet or something of the sort to hold your kief
A Mug
A Microwave
A Book
Your own body weight

All you have to do is put your kief in a baggie, roll it up almost like a joint so that all the kief has collected along the bottom. (For lack of a better explanation) wrap the bag around itself to resemble cling wrap.

Pour some water into the mug and put it in the microwave for 2minutes.

When its done, dip your baggie into the water for 10 seconds, place inside a book and apply all of your body weight for five minutes. I had other things to do so used my bed for pressure instead. Anything heavy will work.

After a few minutes the kief will form into hash. You may want to repeat the process a few times to make it tighter. It works.

Unless you grow i dono if pressing your kief is worth it. It tastes nice as is and youll get alot more mileage out of it sprinkled on tasty buds which then in turn youll get more mileage out of tha buds too!
 
i got a little space case press and it works amazing it gives it that hashy taste. makes anywhere from .2-1.5 g disks, but i was told it seemed more potent because you smash the trichrome heads and distribute the potency evenly while expelling a tiny bit of waste. also using a little oil from the vape tube on the press makes it denser and never stick.

^that sounds like an awful idea, if anything you'd just dissolve more of the tricombs off the bud and kill yourself when you smoke isypropl (sp) alchohal. (unless you were joking judging by the smiley face... in that case... haha, good one.... he)
