Turning my cannabis absinthe into....actual cannabis absinthe??

so yeah a friend of mine went to spain for a few days and brought back some green coloured absinthe which is supposedly weed flavoured. picture of a leaf on the bottle and what have you. It's only a tiny little bottle so I was thinking could I chuck all the keif i've collected from my tweed be chucked in there to make a snazzy drink?
 
a friend of mine brought that back one time. it had a weed plant on the bottle too. but in my opinion i dnt think it was absinthe cus it kinda sucked. as for the kief part im not sure. i know you can put bud in the alchohol and it will obsorb over time, im guessin keif would obsorb faster. maybe let it sit a few days.
 
i think you would have to add some kind of heat like when using everclear
 
Whats the alcohol % of the absinthe?

From what ive read about Alcohol/Pot mixtures you want the highest alcohol % possible.

I dunno, seems like the best play is just to smoke what you got, and drink the absinthe. If it sucks, at least you didnt waste the weed.
 
Ya if were talking abotu the same thing i dont think it is absinthe either. I saw this at some headshops in germany. I think its called Caleaf.

If so its only 16% alcohol and i dont think thats nearly enoguh to make a good alcohol+weed drink

70% volume as well so i'm guessing it should be at least okay for it? or do I need like 80% +?
 
I've heard of people using vodka and rum, which on average is between 40-50%, so I don't see why 70% absinthe would be a problem. Personally however, I've only ever worked with straw rum and everclear, and used plant matter, not kief. But again, I don't see why that wouldn't work. If anything it should be absorbed faster. Just google around for a "Green Dragon" making guide, it should give you everything you need to know.

Finally, you can do it without heat, but if you do decide to heat it be very careful (use a double boiler and have no open flame anywhere near the alcohol). The alcohol could/will vaporise and ignite, and at the very least that could ruin your absinthe :p

Yeah, if you chop up some fine nugs and leave them soaking in the booze for a good 2 weeks, then strain out the plant matter.. You'll have some fine Green Dragon Absinthe
 
Hmm, i'm not gonna be heating up any alcohol at all, it's 40 ml of 140 proof alcohol, I dumped a quarter gram of kief in it, gonna shake every day for a week or two then let you guys know. :)
 
That picture on the bottle alone is enough to make me want to purchase the product. I mean even if their was milk/water/juice inside. Id still buy it and keep the bottle.

70% should be fine, people do it with vodka regularly like FrostSA said.

You'd be suprised how many people would take that as gospel and heat up everclear with a gas stove, or try smoking while making BHO. Rather safe than sorry :)
