Deerhunter and Kode9 were both awesome.

At one of them I stood in relatively the same place with my hands by my side, and enjoyed it immensely. At the other I danced for the entire duration, and enjoyed it immensely. Both were enchanced by just the right amount of Ketamine. :D
I think the fuzzy, ambient nature of the guitars used byDeerhunter and the deep, drawn out, oddly shaped basslines of dubstep, but Kode9 in particular (who has a fairly dark sound) were both very suited.

Looking forward to next weekend where I'll see Flaming Lips, Doves, Bloc Party, MGMT, Friendly Fires, Yuksek, Children Collide.

And a matter of days after that Phoenix.

Took my son to Nickelback ,Papa Roach, Hinder and Saving Abel last week, say what you want but they rocked. We both loved it and my son was happy to see Papa Roach. It was my third time seeing Papa Roach but I liked the show, Hinder was pretty good too.

I might take him to Crue Fest 2, I attended the first one last year and it was great. This year Godsmack is on the tour and they always put on a good, predictable show, my son would love it.

None of that stands up to the Black Label Bash I attended in April though, Zakk Wylde is a god.
 
I'm going to see Paul McCartney in Fenway on August 5th. I feel lucky to have been able to get these tickets.

I think I'll go sober so I'll have clear memories of the event. This man is one of my idols.

Seriously, words can't express how good Fleet Foxes are live. If you've seen them live, you hopefully know what I'm talking about.

Oh and I doubt she'll see this, but I have lystra to thank for introducing me to them! I remember first hearing them because I clicked on a link she posted. :)
 
Just saw Phish at Red Rocks Friday 7/31 amazing show.

Rained hard for an hour at set break which just made the show all better and darker. Lots of references to rain in water from the tunes as well. Could of been my best show ever, anyone else there?
