no appetite unless I smoke

i noticed i have this same problem only if i munch out on fatty foods...once i turned to healthier foods this was not as much of a problem

I don't know if that is true, I take citalopram, more commonly know as Celexa... http://www.drugs.com/ppa/citalopram.html

My dr told me that people are likely to lose weight, and they don't like giving it to people with eating disorders because it tends to make you lose your appetite. Upset stomach and nausea are highly reported side effects according to that link, and I know that personally, in addition to the whole weed withdrawal thing, those side effects tend to make it difficult for me to eat even when I was starting to regulate things when not high.

I don't know too much research about science, but I'm just kinda elaborating on your post I guess from personal experience.

When I was on zoloft it made me nauseous.
But then again, I would kind of consider benzos anti depressants and I eat like a horse on those lol.

I had this problem, but I managed to solve it.

I made a break from smoking for few days and I required myself to have regular meals...if I did not have appetite, I ate small amounts of food, based on a program, 3 times daily. If feeling hungry between these meals, I added between them a fruit (apple, grapes).

When I started to smoke again(4 or 5 days I can not remember exactly)I ordered myself to respect this program and I shaped my life in a new way.

I completely dropped the nightly meals (often with junk food) and i replaced them with fruits, in moderate portion

Vitamin C can help to shape you meals, take 200-300 mg before lunch (can help your appetite), would help also your organism%)

Word...I definitely get the benzo munchies too. Low doses of opiates also make me hungry, as does alcohol --- although when I'm not high I struggle to eat, I really do <3 food, a LOT, haha.

omg breakfast food after a night of drinking is better than thanksgiving dinner lol.

Echoing what others are saying: I often eat right before and never immediately after smoking for this reason. But still, marijuana stays in your system for a long time, and if you smoke alot throughout the day, chacnes are you're going to still be a little high when you eat again. You get used to it and once your body clears itself the reverse effect happens. One way to counteract this is to smoke at night.
I usually enjoy the high more when I do this, but whenever i have weed it's like "shit, why not?".

Also, another way to help remedy this, is to eat even when you don't feel hungry. You may not feel very hungry, but if it's 'lunchtime' or whatever, just eat anyways. This will keep you healthier and allow your stomach to expand and help increase feeling hunger in another few hours.

You may want to take a small break from mary, and, if you still don't feel like eating after 2 days, just try cyproheptadine (periactin). If that works, use it for a week MAX because someone I know is currently experiencing withdrawal symptoms from using periactin for 2 years to regain metabolism (search for the post on the "other drugs" forum).
