Swim took 100mg tramadol and is taking low doses of zoloft (Sertraline), the effects are pleasurable and worrying at the same time, i searched for any contraindications after the tramadol was taken. It appears that SSRIs affect opiates and tramadol among other drugs. Is this true and what are the effects?

Last night i felt happy, for the first time in a while so i took 100mg tramadol today as well as my regular Sertraline. I feel good. I read they are both substrates of CYP2D6.

I phoned a friend and asked whether it was a good idea to take the tramadol again today, he said it was stupid on both counts of last night and today. Does Tramadols bioavailability increase with repeated doses?

It is not dangerous acutely but it can be dangerous in that you might get addicted to tramadol. Like any other opioid, it is addictive, plus on top of that its an SNRI so it is addictive in two ways. The happiness is most likely just opioidergic effects. Have you ever taken an opioid before? Like codeine, morphine, heroin etc.?

Im a recovering heroin addict, i was on bupe then done but now im off it all. I have been severely depressed for months and the zoloft is starting to help.

tramadol is not an ssri, it has effects on serotonin

and the sky isn't green, it's blue, but no one said anything about that either.

Yeah, for some reason anything that inhibits 5HT reuptake is an SSRI to most people.
