How rough is your drug scene?

everyone i get my stuff from ive known as a friend before a dealer, so the scene is nice and easy. just gotta watch my back when im chillin and smokin a blunt on the shittier side of town though
 
I'm a student, and the scene is just buying from people I know, who go to the rough areas to get drugs. I spend about 80% of my money on weed and the rest on heroin, and I have a friend who gets heroin and I just buy from that person. The weed is pretty much dealing by random stoner friends.

Since I know everyone I buy drugs from, it's a very friendly scene for me. I never feel uncomfortable or anything, because I hang out with these people anyways. The downside is that I pay a little bit more, and I can't score drugs at any time for any reason - I tell my friends I need some more, and when they get more for themselves they buy extra and sell it to me. It's worth it though - I don't worry about getting ripped off, hurt, or caught by police, and all I need to do is pay a little extra money and be disciplined enough to not blow through my entire heroin stash in a single weekend - I smoke weed everyday, and so far I've been able to keep my opiate usage low enough to avoid addiction. I just wish I had a more reliable heroin connection though lol
 
Heroin scene: peaceful really relatively speaking. My last connection had a gun- I would cop at his house but honestly I don't think he new how to handle it. Before him, mostly I would meet connection or had it delivered. These guys were mexican nationals and were too professional to be packing. One connection named Javier and his brothers weren't intimadating at all- they kind of reminded me of ewoks.
 
we got pretty much anything. stoners who are really cool and funny. tweakers that are out of their minds thinking everybody is a cop or after them in some way, the high class rollers in West Salem(gold watches, mercedes-benz, fresh clothes, stuff like that) that do coke, the mexican gangs that smoke meth and PCP and go do drive-by's or stab asome random person(you gotta watch out for this in north salem and south salem), and then there's the drunken bums that stumble around in the middle of the street late at night. and you never see too much heroin around unless you're actually involved. but there's plenty of guns involved, beatings, stabbings, gangs run most of the drug trafficking that goes on here. so it gets kinda crazy.
 
My dealers nickname genuinely contains the word "Disco". He's a 30 something trance fan with a shit goatie who wears Hawaiian shirts. He's well hard.

Everybody I know who deals just loves dance music and happens to sell drugs. and I'm happy for it.
 
I live in a city that's pretty much all freakin hippies..even when I was (must..use..past tense...to convince myself I don't want it..) doing lots of opiates some of the people I shot dope with are hippies, haha. I've never really done any shady drug deals, just getting shit from friends. With things like psychedelics and pot it's always really chill, generally at a trance festival in the woods or something where I know most of the people fairly well.
 
I guess it depends on what you looking for

weed..if you know what your looking at, everything goes fine. any thing harder, watch your shit. people will sell bunk anything.

usually aint to bad unless your walking alone in a alley way by your self in the city im in. if shit does go down they wont kill you or shit, just the typical robbery, stick you up.

although in a smaller town full of redneck gangsters in the same state. I hear gun shots pretty dam close to where I am all the time..did get robbed bad too at that town...but they forgot to take my stash cash ha. lots of shady shit goes down there..seeing that its ranked up as one of the poorest county. with tons of corrupt cops, gangs, unsolved murders to add with that mess


but why fuck around with shady people you dont know

My "scene" is a bit rough, but I've managed to avoid trouble and I've never been ripped off. Most of the dealers/users I associate with are dodgy unemployed criminal types. Some have gang connections, most have done prison time, and a few carry guns/weapons. I suppose it's a typical urban hard drug scene.
 
The weed scene is pretty easy going and friendly. It isn't too hard to source speed and E's without too much bother or associating with really shady types.

There is an open air drug market in some inner city suburbs mostly revolving around heroin. I don't think its quite as obvious as the "ghetto's" in America seem to be and I don't have much experience but from what I gather there are many people willing to rip you off, especially if you look like you don't belong.

There is pretty strict gun laws in Australia so not many dealers are packing heat but quite a few do carry knives and other weapons. Plenty don't though.

When you go out, especially in the city, it can be pretty unfriendly, there are a lot of drunks, G heads, methed up psychos and people on shitty adulterated pills who are looking to start fights and there are a lot of aggressive vibes from a lot of people. It isn't all bad, but there seems to be an increasing amount of dickheads rather than decreasing.
 
My dealers are all level headed and decent people, I consider them friends. There's shady dealers here and there but that's kind of what's expected.

I do live in richmond va though and if you're desperate enough there's a lot of rougher places you can go to cop. I rarely do this because it's easy to get robbed or ripped off. A girl my friends know got murdered a couple weeks ago for getting involved with the wrong people.
 
Surprisingly chilled taking into account that I live in one of the most violent cities outside a war zone. The Nigerians (Igbo) control the hard drugs trade and are quite peaceful and most are relatively friendly, some will act pretty hardcore but they are known to be comparatively peaceful by the locals. My main guy even refused to get me H because he aid he didn't want me to get hurt by his doing (although he does sell me crystal, I think he's ignorant about the harm it can cause).

Weed is almost sold almost exclusively by locals and the best grade you'll get is decent "Swazi" from them, hydro or indoor grown is normally found only from white middle/upper class hippy type students.

There is enough violence in the country for people to want to kill each other while out to relax and have fun. Having said that, the "drinking scene" is far more violent. When the Johannesburg CBD was at it's worst about 5 years ago we would go clubbing at an underground-type club (that would rock on until 10-11am the next day), and you could count yourself lucky if you didn't hear gunshots while standing in the queue coming from the "shebeens" surrounding the club.
 
Mine is nothing but hippies and college kids everywhere. No one that i know messes with guns. Its mostly good dank bud, a little coke, a few pills, and a huge oxy/opiate scene.
 
Weed and pills tend to go through reliable connections and people in the know. Street copping is dangerous, dealing with shady dealers, street criminals, bad neighborhoods, and the ever present police looking to curb peoples behavior
 
A really laid back scene. Lots of weed, painkillers, coke, speed and rolls. Most of my dealers pack heat even though they never use it. Shit's really laid back until you try and fuck with our money or drugs, then it's on.
 
the people i deal with arent too rough. i never get guns pulled on me or see with guys walkin around with guns or anything. i choose not to deal with people like that. i deal with people who are more of my friends and layed back. ill go grab somethin and chill there for a little bit, maybe smoke a little bit with them, match on a blunt or something. no going out on the street or people running up to my window tryin to sell me 20 rocks or walkin around with ak47s or some crazy shit like that. its just too risky.


i did get robbed at gunpoint once tho....a fuckin snubnose .38
 
Well, I live in one of the "projects" around here now, "the hood," it's really a bunch of duplexes, but whatever. Crazy shit goes on around here sometimes, shootings, stabbings etc., most probably drug related, and only when someone does something exceedingly stupid. It's all good though, I still feel safe going out to cop around here on foot, got friends as well as dealers in the neighborhood. Anyway this is where I cop my harder shit, might get a blunt out here if I'm bone dry.

So I can walk the neighborhood safe here, and I know the "other side" of my scene (which is pretty much only bud, maybe some coke once in a while) is definitely not rough at all. Everyone is nice as hell and dudeman lays the varieties out going halfway down each genetic family tree and describing it like a vintage wine lol.
 
my scenes laid back i buy almost everything from people who are friends or ateast aquaintances. it is basically just college kids and realativly low quantities but they're have been a couple times when i have had to go to the D to meet one of my buddies old blow dealer alone and my friend told me he was a kool dude and he was (atleast to my friend and me)but when i walked in he was a huge black dude a bit older than myself who was jacked and all tatted up n looked like a prisoner and he was wearin a wife beater with Louie Vatton chest side strap thing with some sorta pistol in it and it was def kinda scary

but that was the only time i have been concerned for my safety while buyin drugs
