And "the balls" he has shown while publicly speaking may be large. Large only because .... NO ONE can fucking believe the guts/cajones he has to say the ignorant things he has said of late.

I think Americans are great resourceful and self reliant People. We don't need the government to save us from every bogeyman that comes along. When the government tries to help us blow our nose and wipe our ass we usually end up needing rhinoplasty and colorectal surgery.

If "Joe Sixpack" is made aware that it costs $45,000 - $70,000 per year per inmate (depending on the facility) to incarcerate someone, maybe they'd realize that having their pockets picked to lock up non-violent drug offenders isn't just a waste of lives (not that it seems to me that the average Joe gives a shit about that), but that it's enormously expensive.... maybe then they'd wake up and stop this madness. Think about it ... a 10 year sentence for someone busted selling a kilo of coke means that we're spending better than a half million dollars .... Nuts.
 
And, better yet -- all the talent, money and resources spent on the DEA -- imagine using those resources for Homeland Security? I'd hate to think that the professional law enforcement officer who chases some dope peddler could have been the one to uncover the next 9/11 and prevent it before it happens.

....uh... I thought Bush was the worst... until Obama came along.... at least in so far as general politics/policies are concerned. Obama is the most blatant communist I could ever imagine taking office of president.... and don't have much hope for Obama helping the drug war issue - he has broken his promises on almost every thing he said he would so far... why would he change his ways on this one subject?

Obama fooled the voters in 2008. Maybe in 2012 he will start hinting about decriminalizing cannabis to get votes and fool the people again. Don't believe any utterance from a politician.
