Esoteric Psychedelic Ideas and Revelations Inaction

Supposedly the world is gonna end in 2012 , I don't believe it though. At least our time won't be ending that quick , maybe we'll go through another mass extinction at some point but It won't happen for hundreds if not thousands of years. Lets hope and pray that people get the message to stop burning fossil fuels. Its leading to our utter demise.

It doesn't mean the world has to end or we all have to die... I'm not sure where that idea came from. I think that looking back on that year we will see that it marked a pivotal shift in the planet and the human race to a new paradigm.

The 13 crystal skulls--> http://www.mendhak.com/80-the-13-crystal-skulls.aspx

A small piece of the story

Hewlett-Packard experts say that the skull had been made regardless of all laws and rules. They surprisingly said: "The damned thing can't exist at all. Those who had done it had no idea of crystallography or of fiber optics. The people completely ignored the axis of symmetry, which was to prevent the crystal from splitting during processing. It is strange why it didn't split at that!" No matter how unbelievable it may seem, the strange crystal skull can be seen in the Museum of American Indians.

Researchers found that the skull had been carved against the natural axis of the crystal. Modern crystal sculptors always take into account the axis, or orientation of the crystal's molecular symmetry, because if they carve "against the grain," the piece is bound to shatter -- even with the use of lasers and other high-tech cutting methods.

To compound the strangeness, HP could find no microscopic scratches on the crystal which would indicate it had been carved with metal instruments. Dorland's best hypothesis for the skull's construction is that it was roughly hewn out with diamonds, and then the detail work was meticulously done with a gentle solution of silicon sand and water. The exhausting job -- assuming it could possibly be done in this way -- would have required man-hours adding up to 300 years to complete.

Lets steal the skulls and bring them together, smoke DMT and see what happens

perhaps a bit OT, but has anyone ever tried 'spoon bending' while tripping?
we were dealing with it in a parapsychology seminar and I was quite sure, that I could do that.....didn't try it up to now. (must take possession of a few cheap spoons first... ;) )

One thing that could be put into action: stop eating/consuming animal-based products. It makes me happy to not do so, and, given the state of the world, there are many many benefits to not using animals as fodder/material.

MEAT IS MURDER MAAAAAAAAN!!!!! ;) :D

Ha, its not something many people seem to like ie. vegetarianism/veganism, but its defintely putting a psychedelic idea into action- IMO.

*awaits attack from steak-addicts*

^ I need meat.

My metabolism is too high to be a vegetarian. I don't eat a lot of meat but if I go without it for too long I find I really start to fade. I'll eat a hunk of chicken and BAM.. I'm back.

Food chain man. Ever met a vegetarian bear? We're omnivores... It's natural man. :)

He makes a good point, this one you call swilow, but yes I love my meat. There are other meats that are not so destructive to the planet. Fuck I'm going to get nailed for this--> grow your own rabbits, feed them on your scraps and go shoot wild deer and goat. Now don't get me wrong, I hate the fuck heads that do it for fun, its just wrong ( what kind of a mindless fuck kills an animal for no reason or to put it on his/her wall), but if done in a humane way,you get meat and help the environment instead of just going to the shop to get a slab of beef. The most destructive food source is seafood for every kilo that gets to off the boat five are thrown back in mostly of which are dead, not to mention all the ghost nets floating around in the worlds ocean.

The truth is that most of the shit we buy in a shop causes huge destruction animal based or not.

In an effort to practice what i preach, I should mention that at one stage I was one of these mindless fucks, thank God I have changed.

Ever met a vegetarian bear?

Indeed I haven't- but then, I haven't met any bears posting on drug forums ;)

You don't NEED meat, you want it. There's nothing wrong with that- but, if this thread is about PRACTICAL things that can be done- well, not eating meat is one. I wouldn't call myself a vegefairian because I hate the tag, but I just don't consume animals. Maybe start with just one animal product....?

I forgot to mention. All our kitty cats which we love so much wouldn't feel too good if they didn't get their meat.

You don't NEED meat, you want it.

Not necessarily; I feel like garbage if I don't get a feed of meat in me at least twice a week. My body needs it, I really fade without it.

I could very easily do without eating beef or pork again. Cattle raising is a big environmental harm also. It's the main reason why the amazon is being cut down. I'd be just fine with poultry for the rest of my life. Red meat is too heavy for my liking and I don't find it tastes all that great anyway.

I've been torn about meat here and there throughout my life. What I have a problem with is factory farming and other forms of cruelty, not to mention using hormones and other drugs on the animals. I eat meat maybe once a week... it makes me feel good when I do it this way. Being from the American midwest, I grew up eating meat at least once a day, as did my wife... she used to say to me in college, "It's not a meal without meat" (I was trying to be vegetarian for a while then). Nowadays I make sure to get my meat from a local farm nearby where the animals free-range and it's all done organically. I actually have the least problem with people responsibly hunting... we're part of the food chain after all, and if a family lives out in the forest and kills a deer and eats from that for a season, I think that's going to produce less impact on the planet even than buying produce from the grocery store.

People get all up in arms about the meat/no meat debate. A lot of people look at you with scorn if you say you don't eat meat, I've noticed. The main thing we can do in terms of diet to help the planet is to eat local food, and grow as much of your own as possible. If you buy food from the grocery store, you're usually contributing to mass production and mass transportation. If possible, you should go to a local farmer's market or something to get as much of your food as possible. Then you've not only gotten the freshest food that has only had to travel across town, but you've also helped to support local business instead of helping corporations accumulate even more.

Yeah, beef especially is so heavy. When I was young I would eat beef every possible chance I could. I'd chow down, get stuffed, feel lethargic, and do it again. As I got older, went through college, I started realizing that I didn't want to feel sluggish. It feels like my body has to work so hard to digest it, and it makes me just want to lay down and sleep, which I don't want to do after eating.

Yeah, after seeing videos of how factory farms are run I was shocked. Chickens held in pens not much bigger than their own body for their whole life. Was really sad. I agree that animals should be given free range and fed whatever their natural diet is.

I grew up eating meat every single day also. When I eat with my parents it's still the same deal. Some kind of meat, potatoes, and a vegetable. There's some variation but that's the general formula.

My dad hunts deer. We have a one week hunt up here and that's when he does it. There's a longer season for bow and arrow but he just does it for the one week and we get a decent supply out of that one week anyway. There's a massive population of deer here and they actually need to be controlled. The one week a year shotgun hunt is viewed as a necessity. We'd be overrun with deer if we didn't have it. It's a necessary part of the food chain.

Edit: Completely forgot about Fish. While commercial fishing in the oceans I see as very harmful due to the mass of it all and using nets which are sometimes left behind to float around the ocean, normal fishing with a rod and reel is great. Great source of healthy food and not harmful to the environment. :)

Yeah, I have no problem with hunting for food (incuding fishing) as long as its from a sustainable source. That said, I'd rather not hunt- killing things is just too hard to do. Plus all the essential dietary components can be found in many other ways, and that in itself makes eating/cooking quite enjoyable. It also helps me to focus on my health, as I need a bit 'extra' to keep well.

A lot of people look at you with scorn if you say you don't eat meat, I've noticed.

Hmm, its weird- often people get 'offended' when I mention I don't eat meat. I never expect anyone to make any extra effort for me; Aussies love their barbeques ;) and I would never presume that someone should provide a meat-free meal; but the thing that does irritate me is the fact that its simply something I don't do. Its simply something I'm not involved in, and hence, it seems odd that people get up in arms about it. People should, maybe, care abut things that are actually being done, as opposed to not. If that makes sense.

As a person, I don't identify with vegetarians/vegans; its a label I'd rather not be overshadowed by. However, on a personal level, its a small thing I can NOT do that I think will help the world, in a small way :) I duno- I've tried chicken about 3 year ago and it flat out tasted like dead bird (weird that??? ;) :D). I used to enjoy it, but not any more. I don;t think I could eat meat even if I tried. Concerning is the fact I have borderline-very low iron levels, but I am taking a liquid supplement to assist with that. Also concerning is the fact the full chains f amino acids are hard to come by, when not eating meat- but thats when middle eastern/asian foods come into play and mouth.

The absorption of Non-heme iron can be improved when a source of heme iron is consumed in the same meal. In addition, the iron absorption-enhancing foods can also increase the absorption of non-heme iron. While some food items can enhance iron absorption, some can inhibit or interfere iron absorption. Avoid eating them with the iron-rich foods to maximize iron absorption.

Iron Absorption Enhancers
Meat/fish/poultry
Fruits: Orange, Orange Juice, cantaloupe, strawberries, grapefruit etc...I would have to take it this means fresh not reconstituted crap
Vegetables: Broccoli, brussels sprouts, tomato, tomato juice, potato, green & red peppers
White wine

Iron absorption Inhibitors
Red Wine, Coffee & Tea
Vegetables: Spinach, chard, beet greens, rhubarb and sweet potato
Whole grains and bran
Soy products
For iron deficiency anemia, a diet with iron rich foods along with iron supplements is often recommended. Absorption of iron from food is influenced by multiple factors. One important factor being the form of the iron. Heme Iron, found in animal sources, is highly available for absorption. Non-heme iron on the other hand, found in vegetable sources, is less available. Iron rich foods of an iron rich diet are listed below:

I deleted most of the list as it was mostly meat stuff
Iron Rich Foods containing Heme Iron
Good Sources

Clams
Oysters
Mussels
Shrimp
Sardines

You guys are making me hungry

Im gonna make some eggs in a basket soon :)

I have the most positive loving energy flowing out of me today. This is an amazing batch of cid. I'm totally amazed by the power of the these little pieces of paper. Last night when I went out back and was looking up into the trees it was so pretty , everything melted and meshed together like some type of abstract acrylic painting.

I havent been this happy in months

I L<3Ve You ALL

FIRST and GREATEST ACID TRIP OF ALL TIME

I was 16 and the year was 1982. I had smoked, drank, and poped a few pills until that point saying" I'll never do acid" Well the night arrived when my buddy Randy and I each took one hit of purple micro dot. We were in his bedroom the majority of the night but was introduced to a level of reality I wish I could have stayed in at the time. Maybe it was due to our age and having none of the stress, worry, and general attitudes that come with being an adult. We laughed, we listened to the White Album, Hendrix, watched Benny Hill and drank pepsi all nught. When we started coming down at 6 in the morning we were both really bummed that we had to return to a world that wasn't nearly as colorful, funny, and just downright psychadelic.

Glad I'm not the only one facing this problem here. The latest realization I've had is that eating meat is fundamentally against my values, and I never even thought about it! But it sucks, because close to all of my favorite meals contain meat. I don't think it's bad to kill an animal out of necessity, as in survival. But the idea of going to a store and buying a hunk of mass murdered animal is beginning to be really unsettling.

I don't think I'm ready to become a vegetarian right now. I'm juggling to much shit for that right now, don't hate me guys! :)
