Those fuckers ban chew I will bomb every government facility I find. I can not believe they will really ban chewing tobacco thats nuts, however banning flavored cigarettes is about equal in stupidity.

God everyone I mean EVERYONE knows that tobacco kills, hell my gums have receeded to hell and back. However I very much enjoy the taste of tobacco so I think that since I am an adult I can make the decision to kill myself albeit slowly.

Black & Mild, bidis, etc are all cigars. Flavored cigars are not going to be effected.

Regulation of cigarettes by the FDA means the tobacco companies have to account for what they put in them- from the quality of soil/fertilizer, to the additive poisons and industrial chemicals that give processed cigarettes that extra 'kick' when you inhale (think of it like cartels adding Procaine & Quinine to Heroin).

Thats the extent of this bill. They aren't about to ban menthol cigarettes, snuff, etc.

first, i'm gonna say it's almost time for me to say i told yall so :p. they've been on the road towards illegalizing tobacco, and this is another, larger, step, imo

a reduction in the amount of middle class users of the product, combined with even bluelighters rallying against the particular product, what better predictor for illegalization?

it happened with almost every major illegalization (use switching primarily to the lower class, and justifications for banning come from all over). yes, tobacco should be treated like other drugs, but no, that doesn't mean all freedoms related to having/selling/using the product should be fair-game!

This sounds like a better plan for the youth, since I don't ever want to see my little cousins smoking.
I've been smoking cigarettes for 5 years now and I enjoy it a lot.

Non-tobacco items rewarded with purchases of cigarettes; never mattered to me anyways.

I just hope they don't ban smoking outside in a park or while driving :[
 
This is so stupid! It is bullshit to ban flavoured tobacco, people should be free to smoke whatever flavour they want.

Banning terms light "mild" for strengths is just stupid aswell, nobody thinks its better for you, it relates to the strength of the flavour and the concentration of tar and nicotine in the cigarette. Anyone who says they thought smokes named mild were healthier are either retarded or a liar imho.

I am for better egulation of the shit they put in there though, obviously there is some seriously nasty shit that goes in there, I wonder if some of the dodgy crap gets taken out though if they wouldn't be as satisfying, theres a funny thought.
