Then just select a forum and type in a keyword or two. Are you searching for content or just to see what some of the first things a person said in a certain forum?

How can I search through more than 500 of someone's posts?

Hey sometimes I like to flip the old bits in the database that are getting dusty, try to see what someone's first posts were like, try to see what someone was like in a previous year or just read a funny poster's oeuvre.

I run into a problem where I can't get behind their 500th most recent post. Advanced search or find more posts from user, I get nowhere.

Do you guys have any tips or advice?

I Can't Find My Original Posts (????)

Do you stash away the older posts? I mean, I spend quite a bit of time in the P&S since I started in Bluelight, and only recently spend time in the lounge only for a bit, and exited from there.

Now I can't find my original posts in P&S etc., which I was posting prior to the lounge.
I don't remember the topics, is there a place you stass them away and how do I find them?
If I click on my name then to view all posts, it only displays my recent ones!

It has not been that long ago as to have them removed, perhaps you only keep a certain amount
and then store the older ones somewhere? if so, how do I find them?

Can someone who is not too busy-and kind enough-answer this please?

Thank U

Use advanced search. Put your user name in search by user name field. Try limiting your search to just P&S or choose in ascending order. Our BL search only returns 500 results, that is why you are not seeing older posts. Ascending order is available through the 'sort results by' section. Limiting results to a forum is available from the search in forums section. Advanced search is available from a pulldown menu on the search are of the BL toolbar. Does this help?

Further answer, we do delete or archive some older threads to save on resources but given your join date of April 2009 I'm sure it isn't the issue in this case.

Thank you Erki. It helped.

I just want to know, if anyone knows:

A) Do they get stored by alphabetical order?>>> Because the dates were pretty mixed up and all over the place and I could not find the ones that I wanted!

B) How long would I be able to access those? Are these in the Archives? (do they go there after 500?)

Thank you for your assistance in advance-to whoever can respond!

i don't know what you mean by the dates being mixed up. when you run a search, it displays them in date order.

i can see 56 posts made by you in P & S. 3 of those posts were made in threads that were deleted by the original poster (the person that created the thread).

none of these posts are in the P & S archive. apart from the 3 I mentioned, you should be able to access all of them.

not sure how this site works at all

man there's a lot of reading involved just to figure out how to post questions,or things that bother me and need someone to talk too.whats the easiest way to do this

posting a question could not be easier. you identify the relevant forum and click the
newthread.gif
button.

most forums would prefer that you poke around a little or search to see if your question has been asked before. if it has, instead of starting a new thread, just add a reply to the existing thread.
