Any tips?

Recently I told someone that I had a craving to try weed. He said he'd bring me a joint for sure. So now I'm a bit apprehensive. I haven't smoked EVER, only drank and used ecstasy. What am I to expect? Any suggestions, tips, advice, or caution? I'm a non-smoker and a little anxious.
 
You've got nothing to worry about. Just go into it with a chill attitude, and you're guaranteed to have a good time. Make a mix cd of your favorite music and a bag of your favorite snack, and bring it along to set the right atmosphere.

I've never done E, but i've drank plenty, and at least in my opinion, smoking is waaaay better. Drinking just makes you stupid.:)
 
Don't get freaked out. Just do it and don't worry about cops or whatever cause then you just screw up the high. It's less physical then drinking, I think smoking actually makes you feel more. Some people also say they don't get high their first time ( I did 8) ) but just come into it with an open mind and really see if you can feel it.
P.S. HOLD IT and don't choke. :p

don't be surprised if you don't feel it, but be sure you are inhaling.

It's not physically addictive like those harder drugs (I'd throw E in to that category although I never felt addicted to E)... expect more of a light psychadelic feeling (no true visuals but altered perception), with a slight euphoria/giddiness, mixed in with a touch of sedation (hence being stoned), and hunger (duh).

Speaking of which. Almost time to blaze (ok fine, I already am blazed... but ya never OD from weed and I'm celebrating a month clean from opiates so I will blaze as much as I want!)
 
Expect to cough. If you take a big hit, you may be coughing like your lung is about to come out, but just bear through it. It will be worth it. :)

Have good food and music available.
 
you probably won't feel anything on your first attempt. your secound attempt may be very intense. after that, you will get the feel of how cannabis will effect you.
 
start very slow and work your way up...if your buddy is hitting it real hard let him but find your own limit
 
Well thanks for all the useful tips guys! I really appreciate it. I think I'll be able to go in with a level head and all, maybe a little anxious. The friends I am doing it with are a bit inexperienced. Though one of them is a little more than the rest of us. But I feel pretty safe with them.

I just can't wait to try it out. Hopefully I don't get paranoid or anything...or throw up.
 
smoking weed imo is less intense then doing e
so it shouldn't be to much you should really worry about in mind expectancuies
just enjoy urself and get ready to chill

If it's good weed then you won't throw up unless you mix it with a lot of Alcohol, as Cannabis has an antiemetic effect (nausea stopping). So if I were you, I'd avoid booze all together. Maybe have a very small amount to stop any nervousness.
 
i didnt get high my first time, but the next day like 4 hits and i was floating, its so fun,no bad side to it so just do it do it
 
Awesome. Well yeah, the stuff I'm getting is really good, and from a trusted source. I know I'll get high...I'm a lightweight for sure. We're skipping the last day of school and getting stoned. 8D

I'm with the poster who said skip the alcohol. First time, you want to feel it just as it is. Also, sometimes alcohol w/ cannabis can get you a little too high and that can be uncomfortable until you learn how to manage it.

Above all, relax and enjoy! +1 for skipping the last day of school and having a good time with friends instead. Skipping school will automatically put you in the right mindset to fully enjoy your first high.

just dont let skipping become a regular thing.
