Snorting Ambien IR and CR

And as far as the euphoric feeling goes, for me ambien makes me forget everything else for the time being. Gives me time to think and just enjoy the short time of the effects. My definition of euphoric is eternal happiness. Now as we all know Ambien is not eternal. It doesn't last forever, but In my opinion it does give somewhat of a euphoria for me.
 
i have taken these orally alot in the past and the buzz was alright but i always get a very different type of nausea than ive ever experienced before. Anyways i was going through moderate xanax w/d last week and snorted a 5mg pill and to my surprise it didnt burn at all, and i got a very strong buzz for only 5mgs...even though i dont like this buzz very much at all, it did help with the w/d

i guess i shouldnt have generalized so much. I think ambien is a very cool drug and it is underestimated. people give it a bad rap. I mean its no super drug and its def not an opiate for all you "get a real drug" just cuz ur DOC is opiates all the time, doesnt mean there isnt room to enjoy some other types of drugs for a change. open your mind a little. u might find things more enjoyable.
 
and notice all the people that are hating on the ambien are the people with opiates in there names such as: "oxyMorph,morphonorconic, etc" maybe not everyone is addicted to opiates and likes to try other things.....

if u dont like the shit who cares? why waste your time commenting on it. do something else....

I snort it simply because it kicks in nearly instantly, giving me the feeling as if I've taken 4 shots and a few good hits of green. And yeah it might not be some hardcore drug, but the side effects for me are little to none. I also wake up feeling just fine rather than the comedown of some harder drugs. So its just a choice. We all make our own.
 
Ok, while there is some alright information on here... DO NOT JUST ATTEMPT TO ABUSE AMBIEN BECAUSE SOMEONE SAYS IT WILL BE FUN OR GIVE YOU A RUSH!!! It affects everyone VERY differently. In fact, I know MANY people that get SO FUCKED UP from just 1 10mg normal release Ambien that they are no longer in a normal reality anymore. I on the other hand, can eat 70mg and just feel a little drowsy. If I had to compare the effects to any other substance, interestingly enough I'd compare it to Benadryl. For those of you who have taken Benadryl recreationaly, you'll understand that it isn't exactly a fun substance. I've gotten more FUCKED UP off of Benadryl then any other drug in my life... But it was NEVER fun, and I found it VERY addictive. Every single time I took it, I would say that I hated it and never wanted to do it again. Then I'd take it and say to myself just 5 minutes later, "Why the HELL did I just take that?" My ex-girlfriend took 10 mg of Ambien and just like 15 minutes later, all of her vision was doubled, and a little bit after that she had left reality completely. I could tell she was FAR too fucked up and forced her to throw up. If it wasn't for that who knows what would have happened. Because a bit after that we went upstairs to my room and we hanging out... Just a little after THAT she just suddenly starting crying, and I was like "Whoa what the fuck? What's wrong?" and she said that she had NO IDEA how or when she came upstairs or what had happened inbetween taking the drug and that moment. She said that she was in an ice-cave type world with snow creatures everywhere and she couldn't tell what was going on. I've also heard storied of people taking 10 - 30mg and being in the bath and then thinking they were on some sort of pirate ship and there was a pirate captain there with them, and they were singing sailing songs, etc etc. It's not a drug that was every meant to be abused IMO. And while some people DO find it enjoyable... That doesn't mean everyone will or that it is necissarily a good drug for abuse. Hell, some people find Salvia enjoyable. Some people find Bendaryl enjoyable... Some people find Datura, Meth, large doses of Caffeine, PCP, Piperazines, etc etc etc enjoyable... That doesn't mean they are enjoyable drugs in general. It just means there are different strokes for different folks. And if you are GOING to try Ambien, I HIGHLY recommend you have a sober sitter around; at least for the first time or two you try it. Because there are MANY instances of people taking Ambien or similar drugs, and coming-to in strange places, and they have no idea how they got there, but they drove, or walked, etc etc. They get themselves into CRAZY situations, much the same ways that people who sleep walk would. So... Just be safe people.
 
Very true mahatmaganja420, all new drug experiences should be done with moderation and a good buddy there to help you along. This thread wasn't made to tell everyone to go out and snort some Ambien, its just my way of passing along information so that curious people have input from many different people.

The reason I comment is because this thread has no point. There is no question or idea from which a discussion could be born. Rather, it is ONE poster simply telling the rest of us that they like to snort Ambien. Okay. Awesome!

The reason I am critical is because it is threads like this that drag this place down, because they are void of real substance. When I see threads like this, it makes me not want to even post at all.

PS- Also, I snort drugs that are worth snorting. A pseudo-Benzo-Z drug sleep aid with high oral bioavailability and lots of side effects doesn't seem like something that is worth putting up your nose to me. I can't understand how people find Ambien to be of any recreational value to begin with.
 
This isn't a waste of a thread, this is in the Other Drugs forums, its simple here to give information and answer some questions for people out there. And as for not posting, why post at all if all you have to say is negative, leave it to the mods to chose weather the thread is useless.

I've tried to blow ambien's a few times it burns so bad and I really didn't notice a different from blowing them to just swallowing them so I would just go ahead and swallow them.
 
I eat ambien like candy to try to sleep. It doesn't work.

I feel like Im reading a thread about someone who thinks its funny to pretend he has no legs.

God insomnia fucking sucks, fucking waiting for the airplane...

Dude get off your fucking high horse. You think that just because you do opiates you're somehow better than people whose drug of choice is something else? I'm on morphine right now, and later tonight I plan on snorting a zolpidem. If you can't understand how people find Ambien to be of recreational value, then please don't waste our time posting in this thread. YOU are serving no purpose and cluttering an otherwise fine thread. If you want to bitch about people making topics about snorting benzos fine, but remember that zolpidem is water soluble and therefore snorting it is an effective method of administration. This isn't another "can I snort xanax to get more high?" thread.

Back on topic, my generic zolpidem 10mg IR (Teva is the mfg) don't really burn when snorted. I usually crush the pill, then with the end of a credit card push the plastic-like outer shell pieces to the side and eat them. Once I have a pile of just powder up it goes.

I haven't found the effects to be much different than oral, the come on is certainly quicker but that's about it. It doesn't seem to be more potent, which isn't surprising since the oral bio-availability is so high.

In regards to cross-tolerance with true benzodiazepines, in my experience there is a huge cross-tolerance. I take alprazolam or clonazepam ~1mg/day and even at doses up to 40mg of zolpidem I get no visual distortions, or even amnesia.

I don't think that because I "do opiates" that I'm better than those with other DOC's, I know I'm better. Just kidding.

You are right, insufflation of Zolpidem is a viable ROA, if that is your prerogotive. But, like I said, I sniff drugs that are worth sniffing, that is, drugs that give euphoric and pleasurable highs, and that have significant benefits when used intranasally over orally. Not just Opioids necessarily, but certainly not sedative-hypnotic dissociating Benzo-esque Z drug sleep aids that have very high oral BA to begin with.

I have no problem with you or anyone else using Ambien recreationally or snorting it or shoving it up your ass or whatever, but what is the point of starting a new thread on this topic when there are already several threads with basically the same title, on the exact same topic? You have been around long enough katki, to understand the value in reduced repeat threads on "snorting pill X." "Dude."
 
C'mon guys. its in the other drugs discussion. If its really that terrible of a thread they dont bother coming onto it.

You made no sense in that post. Ambien is NOT OTC.
And yes when I. Stress the I factor, When Isnort ambien 20mgs is enough to take me to a euphoric level. Where listening to music, talking to friends, it makes the experience even way better, you just lose yourself in the moment.
And no matter what anyone has to say.
Ambien does wonders when snorted, yea its not hardcore, But its an indescribable Euphoria high.
 
well i tried the experiment. i snorted my ambien cr 12.5mg. It burned like a motherfucker. I caught an alright buzz, felt warm, a little euphoric. better than taking the ambien whole. i dont think it was worth the burn for me. ive snorted a lot of shit and that ranks up with one of the worst burns. pure mdma crystal doesnt even hurt that bad. maybe the regular ambien IRs arent that bad to snort. i may try it again for the buzz though
 
The IR's burn a little worse.. But you'll find as you do it you get used to it. And yeah it is kinda harsh, But once you experience railing a 20mg line of the IR's you'll get used to the burn :]
