Got any highschool gridiron players here?

How about those two-a-days in July?

Two weeks, the coach got pissed and we had three-a-days.

Man, I really miss football. Our coach told us one time we would look back on our effort we put in and wish we could do it all over again. He was right. So, give it all you have guys. I would give everything I own to go back and play just one more season. Even the three-a-days I miss.

I played on all the special teams and tight end and defensive end. I was on the field pretty much the entire game and I loved every second of it.

RIP my Dad, PottedMeat

on the night of april 17th, my dad, who posted on these forums as PottedMeat, died after a long struggle with heart disease. i think this place was pretty important to him, so i felt i should share this news with the community.

he was a great dad to me and hopefully a good friend to some of you. we're having his memorial service today, and we're going to miss him in our lives.

Britney, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Your Dad had become a good online friend to me in recent days. I was totally unaware that he had been as ill as he was; he was never the type to feel sorry for himself. He helped me through some terrible times and I will remember his words always.

Your Dad provided some of the most sensible advice I've read here. He was a wonderful person and will be very, very missed.

My thoughts are with you and your family through this difficult time.

OMG! We interacted and I remember his posts in SLR. Oh wow, this is the first BLer who I remember clearly and this hurts. He was posting a lot and he had a funny little lawyer humor about him.
