Ok so i got onto it in my previous post. I wanna know how to eliminate the dreaded paranoia of blazing especially but not limited to when your tolerance is low. I've thought of the following ideas. 1)anti anxiety pills like purbloka 2)using small amounts 3)smokin wit a sober person
 
taking other drugs to counter the negatives of 1 drug is a massive no no. In my opinion if you are getting paranoid, it is time to take a break. The drug is probably manifesting itself in other negative ways that you are not noticing. I have read alot of people on here that say smoke through it, but I think that is just silly....

Having said all that, if you insist on blazing reach for a few shots / beers before you get on meds!
 
I agree with FlippingTop, but if you DO want to keep smoking then you can use an anti-anxiety medication like...Alprazolam. I would not recommend this EVERYTIME you smoke, as it is an addicting drug.

There are also herbal ways that can calm anxiety, sadly I do not know of them but I know there are, I've read somewhere in another topic.
 
Why dont you research a different type of bud. I'm new at this, but I'm pretty sure there are several different strains that have different side effects. Can someone give some more info on this matter?
 
why don't you find your self a very soothing environment?somewhere where you can relax, maybe with a significant other?

Use smaller amounts. In my opinion if your smoking enough to get paranoid you're smoking too much. Get a one-hitter and use that. Or vaporize small amounts at a time.

Taking pills to deal with the effects of a drug you are intentionally inhaling is not the answer.
 
If you're getting too paranoid, its probably not a bad idea to take a bit of a break from grass, but if not, here's some things that help me not get unduly sketched while high:

1) Stay in a nice, controlled environment, ideally indoors, with no pressing concerns. Its really important though to smoke only when you are not too worried initially, about obligations, upcoming or current problems, etc, as these can to easily turn into an ineffective, high energy bout with paranoia of all varieties.

2) Don't smoke too much in one setting, if you have any experience at all you should have a rough idea of your "sweet spot" for grass, respective to your tolerance. Or alternately go the oral route, I know that it can often be more intense, but my experiences w/ oral cannabis have been more relaxing, less edgy, and overall more easygoing than when smoked.

3) If you really want some calming aids, try some less risky alternatives before using alprazolam (you don't want to be doing that on a regular basis). For me, some St. Johns Wort (0.9 mg Hypericin) is fantastic for countering bad moods, worry, etc, though you want to try it on its own a few times before mixing with herb. You could also try Kava Kava, California Poppy tea, Valerian, Opium Lettuce, etc, which I have had some, albeit less definitive, success with.

Or alternately, a few leisurely glasses of wine wouldn't be bad either. Kratom also works wonders in medium doses for anxiety (and one of the better cannabis substitutes for unwinding), and synergizes very well with grass, but as always, its nothing you want to be dependent on.

Agreed. Only I'm not sure why you said "intentionally", is this guy Bill Clinton or something? ;).

I do however think filling in the word "voluntarily" fits the topic quite well. Smoking pot isn't something you have to do, therefore adding more drugs to the equation just to keep up your habit isn't a good idea, and can often times leave you dependent on another substance or at the very least dependent on that substance to enjoy marijuana.

I agree totally, I know some people just have the natural reaction of being paranoid when using cannabis. But I find ALOT of the paranoia issues arise do to poor set/setting and/or company. Next time you smoke, try to make sure your not around anyone you feel uncomfortable with, and that your in a safe and comfortable environment.

Often times marijuana can amplify subconscious thought inside your head, and bring it to the forefront of your thinking processes. So keeping negative thoughts/influences away from your herb smoking can often reduce or even eliminate most thoughts of paranoia.
 
Just keep telling yourself that your okay and it's gonna be fine.

Your mind is far more powerful than any chemical you can use to alter it.
 
Smoke by yourself and just sit there playing games ;)

If you don't manage to eliminate the paranoia without the use of other chemicals then i suggest cutting right back, if not stopping. Bringing in other chemicals may lead to problems with them aswell as cannabis.

I too get paranoid when smoking cannabis and now rarely smoke it.. the longer you spend in a mind set like that.. the longer it takes for your mind to return.
 
Alcohol always kills the paranoid edge that weed gives me. Makes me pretty stupid though, and KOs me pretty fast.

What? Do you mean just eat regular weed (does that even work)? Or is there some other kind that i've never heard of? Elaborate! :0


EDIT: Ok i'm an idiot.. I forgot you can put it in butter and brownies and all that. LOL

Yo, well what I meant to say is that if you mean to inhale the herb, then you should accept all of the effects it gives you... Paranoia possibly being one of them. Like if you intentionally take it you should only do so if you enjoy all of its effects.

I totally understand the OP though. I've been scripted klonopin before and used it when I smoked to combat (lol I typed it kombat first like mortal kombat) paranoia. Only I ended up hooked on benzos and it was a total bitch to quit :|. But in the end I feel like the herb helped me deal with my emotions truly. It brought out paranoia and I found ways to deal with it (took a while though).

Sometimes it does kick my ass still, especially with doses of 1.5 grams+ orally. There's nothing like a little marijuana-induced temporary psychosis though... I always kind of liked being terrified! it's like a roller coaster....

edit: I find that if I start small (i.e. one hitter) early on in the day and continue smoking small amounts, by the end of the day I can take bongloads and get really fuckin' high and not get paranoid... It's like if I build up a mini-tolerance throughout the day by the end I can smoke (and still get really high) and not have the negative effects... Thusly it feels good to smoke all day... every day. :)

Haha yeah I know exactly what you mean, I'm lucky enough to never really get paranoid, that makes the job even easier ;).

And yeah mortal kombat was kickass, when I think about that game I think SNES and Sega Genesis though.
 
I find being aware of your surroundings and not expecting any sudden changes can set you up for a pretty good experience, first toke every or 1,000,000th joint.
 
im a prety heavy smoker and i love my bongs although i dont take bongs i prefer turbos i duno if you know wot they are like but anyway back to the paranoia thing cuz man do i get PARANOID. i dont no if its just me or if its just cannabis in general tht makes u paranoid. the main thing i worry about is the police because im usually always hangin about sumwer on the street and if its not the police i just get paranoid about anything and everything like i start thinkin people are lookin at me or tlkin about me wen ther not. i dnt think theres anyway too stop this tbh wivout drugs so once ur paranoid ur paranoid lol.
 
On the other hand, someone I know that smoked weed for, like 8 years, and they liked it, once they tried smoking again years later could not handle the paranoid high..
 
I always notice paranoia depends on who im with. Just act how you feel inside. Don't try to act any certain way for an opression. Smoke with people that are chill, and don't mind you just lying back while your stoned. If your a chill person normally, noone will ever know that your high. This eliminates all the paranoia and anxiety for me.
