On occasion i get someone who asks me how being high feels like and i always find myself fumbling for words. Iv come up with a couple answers but they never feel satisfactory. I think i told someone that being high(at least for the first times) is like having a lens of clarity over the world that allows you to partake in its beauty and that it settles the mind of past thoughts with new ideas (unfortunately including paranoia).
How would you describe being high to someone who had never smoked?

i always say (almsot always in reference to lsd) that me trying to explain it to you is like trying to explain a rainbow to person born blind. its feelings and perceptions that if you havent done it you can never fully understand.

it amplifies everything, it's everything you need.

If i need to go to sleep i can do it without a problem, if i want to stay up for 48 hours without too much of a diminished capacity, smoking weed and 2 100 mg caffiene pills can get me through it and i'm happy.

it adapts to the situation, when i want to relax it helps me, when it's a party i can get amped up with it.

it's awesome :D

i'm going to steal that answer from you.

Man, I always tried to get people to help me understand what the lsd experience was like. And now that i've done it on this last friday, I totally understand!

I'm pretty sure weed is different in it's details for almost everybody. But generally, relaxation? That's a must, for me anyways. Not saying that's all there is to it, obviously SO much more

first time the world seemed different and more focused
imagine walking on the moon with 1000 pound of weight on you
stupid jokes seem to be funny
the munchie makes you put on fats

its also hard because marijuana makes me feel so many different ways at different times. Depending on the bud, it could be described as "the polar opposite of a cup of coffe," or on the other end a "mildly psychedelic euphoric stimulant..." so many variables

yeah but when im high im actually less aware of shit around me, like i run into stuff or will forget stuff

Agreed, sometimes you feel like you have a much better awareness, but then realize that you've been doing a bunch of foolish things.

I believe some parts of awareness are enhanced (music comes to mind) and others are affected in a negative way. Thing is, each high is different, and it seems to be that each high has different effects. Such that your sense of balance might be decreased one high, and increased the next.

The mysteries of the mind

Word..

Good!!
The speed of time moving forward seems to change.
The speed of thoughts can feel different than movement.
It provokes thinking. Lots of thinking... which often leads to hilarious thoughts (My life is a giant banana!). However, it can help you dwell in your own unhappiness if you do not go into it with the right set.
The stomach becomes a virtually bottomless pit.
Life is amplified. Notably music and moist, sugary food om nom nom. Dehydration and hunger are included in this too...
There is some phenomenon, somewhat like synethesia, that makes visualizing music or converting it into corresponding body movements come naturally. I can do this fairly well sober too, though.

ive come to the conclusion that i can only label weed an "enhancer". your ability to focus on something increases a hundred fold. this, in my theory, causes your scope of thought to narrow in, increasing awareness towards what you are currently, eating, looking at, thinking about, hearing, etc. and at the same time decreasing your awareness to everything around you to an equal degree. people say weed makes you dumb. i say weed just puts you on a different plane of awareness. you have a sixth sense for energy coming from people. bad "vibes" are easily apparent as well as good ones.

these are only a small part of the endless epiphanies you will come across when you partake in smoking this fine plant.
