Whos buying asher roth debut album "ASLEEP IN THE BREAD AISLE" on 420?

some of his stuff is catchy

i wouldnt say world class or great.


but i enjoy listening to it

preppy college kid releases rap album + no street cred = fail. All he can rap about is parents buying nice shit for him, getting drunk, banging sluts, that would get boring quick.
 
really enjoyed the mixtape. looking forward to the album.

he has plenty of haters already, so i'm sure it'll do pretty good numbers.
 
i like him when he doesn't sound like Eminem, which is about 50/50.

i don't know if he does it on purpose or not, but i just don't like it when he (or anybody else, for that matter) tries to flow like Slim Shady used to back in the mid 90's-early 00's. it's almost like that's a sacred thing to me, and nobody should fuck with the way we (or at least i) remember how Slim Shady flowed.
 
Is that that song "i love college" or whatever. I fucking laughed so hard when i heard that song. Not because i liked it but how stupid it is. The best part is kids eat that shit up. Really in todays world all you have to do is mention college and the kids love it, college is becoming like high school. I perfer my rap to be about drug dealing and killing the innocent anyway not this "i go to college and drink" shit. Fuck that kid lol Jeezy ftw.
 
My parents now think that all I do at college is drink and party. Way to go Asher Roth. It is a catchy song though, you gotta admit it makes you laugh.

Meh. Let 'em hate, he'll sell some albums. He's got little on slim, to the point where its not even worth worrying about.

Asher Roth sucks. Especially "I Love College", it sounds like it's written by someone who's never been to a college party, and got all their information from wikipedia or something. He can't write lyrics for shit, sure all the high school kids will bump it but anyone who knows good music probably won't touch the garbage.

Never heard of the guy, probably cause i live in Canada. So i checked it out, then i realized why i hadnt heard his shit, and i hope i don't hear it again. That song college is insanely lame. If you need a song to explain that having a party is fun then you're just plain stupid. the end

well, shit.

his mixtape by Drama and Cannon is real hot, but the more i hear of the album, the more i'm thinking he's just gone way too MTV. he's a far better (and smarter) rapper than "I Love College" . . shit's just obviously dumbed down like, well, pretty much all major label rap.

i still respect the fact that he's talking about his real life though, not just some bullshit he made up to sound hard.
