ORLANDO, Fla. - Federal Communications Commission officials and deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's gang unit busted a pirate radio station they say was reportedly broadcasting information on where to buy drugs.

Authorities say the "Street Heat" broadcast included live advertisements for criminal gangs and discussions of where to buy drugs and find prostitutes.

Balthazard Senat and Christopher Robert Roth were arrested Friday and charged with unauthorized transmission and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver. Officials say Roth was a DJ for the radio station.

A spokeswoman for the sheriff's office and a person answering the phone at the Orange County Corrections Department had no information on whether the men had retained attorneys.

I used to run a pirate radio station... and i got fined/shut down by the FCC :) Fun times they were..

Really? It seems like it'd be something difficult to track down, no?

I assume we're not talking about a static physical location with an obvious tower and such, but a small low power transportable deal, no?

In a large city how'd they possibly find you? Do they actually send in agents and triangulate your position?

they would likely use all other avenues but if it comes to it they will get the gear and personnel needed to triangulate the signal to find a pirate radio. they have done it in my city and it was on the news several years back.

Same here where I live. This guy was broadcasting an R&B/HipHop channel out of a van behind his house in the hood. They had gang or neighborhood shoutouts and talked freely about drugs and the music was not edited. Pretty funny, actually. The FCC came and busted them out.
