8o

I said that, only being the tutor instead. I thought that it was just that people weren't being taught right, that as you said, all it took was....

Then on day 1, I realized that I overestimated the mental capabilities of the average college student. It's not possible, people make the same mistakes on day 100 as on day 1, and there's really nothing you can do but....umm....smoke up and pop a benzo before each session like I did 8o

That's a good point. I have taught or tutored math, English, and logic, and some people just aren't going to learn. But is it because they aren't capable or they don't care? I suspect in many cases it is the latter.

2) If the car in front moves up 1cm, every car behind also moves up 1cm. Why???

This makes me laugh!!! I hate this too, but I also find it exceedingly funny, and when I'm at the front of a queue of cars I do this purely to see all the other cars follow like SHEEP! BAAAA!!

Fucking lol =D

As for the usage of "lol", it has taken me a LONG TIME to get to the stage of actually typing "lol" myself. I resisted for SO long! But after years and years of typing "That made me laugh out loud" instead of "lol", I finally succumbed and now I type lol like there's no tomorrow.
BUT ONLY WHEN I AM ACTUALLY LOLLING!!! :D
Which is rather often....therefore I type it often :p

Pet peeve -- people who do nothing on Bluelight except troll. I am having a hard time understanding this. These people actually sit there typing their trolling posts and think to themselves, "this is a valuable way to spend time?"

I don't get it.

A massive line of cars waiting to get through a traffic light, and it stays green for literally 5 seconds. This kills me inside.

And the first asshole in line uses four of those seconds because someone told him the safest way to drive is to take 45 seconds to reach the 35 MPH speed limit.

Say you have five seconds of film of someone walking:

The person walks forward on the first two.

The third one shows the second one in reverse.

The fourth one is the second one again.

The fifth carries the person forward.

This type of effect....ahhhh! This is often done in tv to mimic some lame type of dance step, along with dumb editing music or sound effects. Sometimes the second and third steps are done several times. It drives me insane!!!

hahahaha

YES! :D

I love lolling. Its not annoying at all, unless someone says it like 10 times in one sentence.
lol :p

I have to take a driver improvement program because I have a few speeding tickets. What a joke. It's not as though I drive on the wrong side of the road, or stop at green lights and go on red lights, or park in the turning lane or something like that. But in order go keep my license I have to go take a class and pass a test that will have nothing to do with speed limits (How could they, what question could they possibly ask about speed limits?).

But I missed the deadline, so I have to take a longer more difficult class and test. Huh !????

Where is the logic in that!? Do they think my driving skills eroded further during the 30 day period I had to do the first class, so now a more extensive class is needed?

I had to take a check on finances when i went a little wacko and wrote a bunch of bad checks in order to get drug money.

I thought it was annoying because the point of the class was learning how to avoid situations that got you in trouble in the first place--such as not counting on deposits being put in BEFORE debits and etc.

Well, how does that help me? I KNEW what I was doing was wrong and I knew I didn't have money and I KNEW that it would eventually catch up to me.

I just didn't care :\

^ when people say "call me at X time" and then they don't answer their phone for another hour or more.

lol I very rarely answer my phone. I do if I tell someone to call at a certain time, but otherwise I call people when I want to talk to them. Also, most of the time I have my phone on vibrate (because I hate ring tones) and I don't feel it ring.

^ Oh lord, I hate that one soooooooo much. I remember, quite recently, someone argued for like a whole page here at BL that "intensive purposes" pretty much meant the same thing as "intents and purposes." I wanted to shoot myself in the face.

Also, I kow this was covered already, but the intentionally misspellings are just beyond the scope of my comprehension.

I guess sometimes it is just cool to be different? So we get phrases such as "hai" instead of "hi," or "moar" instead of "more."

What's wrong with "Hi" and "more?" Can't we come up with more creative ways to be creative?

In one of the photo threads, someone referred to someone else as very "seksie."

That one just boggles my mind.
