ive been on 25mg cr for maybe a couple hours.

about the only real visuals ive been getting are garbled words on my computer screen (as if the words were sliding down off the screen) - also this pillow next to be is doing a kind of "shadow dance"

i dunno this is weird but maybe i'm doing it wrong. some people say they have pretty wild experiences on them. i pop these things and they actually make me more awake, and i don't feel hungry.

There is something noisy and weird about ambien (zolpidem) for me. I often feel like something is flitting around in my peripheral vision. Its all kind of hard to explain. Its sufficiently amnestic that you may not remember having posted. Be careful, its not the riskiest drug out there by any means but I find its risk to pleasure ratio unacceptable as I do not enjoy it.

I thought it would be mostly like a benzo but it has some other element that isn't benzo-like.

If you took the CR orally and didn't crush them, I'm surprised you're having any visuals at all. Even with the instant release, you're more likely to get the recreational benefits by crushing and snorting.

ambien is not such a good high, it more like fucks u up..

the ONLY time i get 'high' on it is when i NEED to take one to go to sleep but ill stay up and extra hour to feel relaxed from it.

some people "claim" to trip, but IMO its impossible. its not a halucinagen or is it? i dnt think so.

You know Ambien brings some coma people out of their vegetative state. I don't think they know why yet and I still don't know why somebody thought to give it to someone in a coma. If Hammilton stops by this thread he would be able to give us a good summary of what is known about zolpidem.

It's wiki page is quite good. lots of info on it's recreational use, mechanism of action, waking up semi vegetables etc etc.

I took a 12.5 mg CR pill last year for the first time.

it's not really like visual crazy shit hallucinations, it's just like the room breaths, patterns move around: I had a lepoard print blanket and the spots were moving around on it for a good 5 minutes haha sooo sick...

was my first real hallucination ever so I thought it was cool.

I also like saw a rainforest island in the blanket too when I was staring at it to try and get it to move... only reason I remember all this was because I documneted it.

Ambien makes me sooo tired know and I found myself doing stupid shit... like I'd just be open with everything, telling girl I wanna fuck them and shit.

Wouldn't recomend taking around family because they'll notice how tired you look.

I, personally, find Ambien to be very recreational. However, it is the only drug that I will get a tolerance built up. It becomes ineffective even after 3 days of usage. I do not take it often and it has been about 6 months since I did last, but I definitely got a trippy light euphoria from it. I would take it over a benzo anyday. It is a drug that I would make sure someone is around if you do take it. People have done some very odd things. My mother got into a car and drove off and had a minor accident after taking it and had no recollection the next day, despite the hospital and police visit. She was also going through chemo and was sick at the time too, which may have interacted as well.

I actually did take a little bit of ambien before but all it did was make me feel odd and rather heavy. I fell asleep pretty soon afterwards.

your pillow is doing a fucking shadow dance...what more do you want??

its fun, just put on some music, read some shit until the words fall off the page into your lap...its subtle but it give like a nice mood. to me anyway. i love the stuff passionately. plus is rather benign..

what a disturbing little tale..

i like benzies, but ambien is just...all warm and squishy,,,,but you gotta space it out..if you do it often, like you said...it stops working unless you take nauseating doses. but if you do it like three times a week with days in betwixt..3 under the lingua get me nice and zolperplexed out and im, ill repeat, a XANAX VETERAN...odd stuff.

i just burned myself with cig ash twice... damn

I took ambien for about two weeks when I was 14. I never went to sleep with it; it would make me trip hard. I remember it would make me giggly at first, and as someone said I felt like there were things happening in my peripheral vision that I couldn't quite see. It also gave me a big sense of euphoria.

The most notable hallucination I had was as I typed on the screen, the letters would move around the screen to form shapes. I remember feeling like I was walking through a town of letters and letter people would greet me and laugh. I also remember the letters hopping off the screen and walking around on my desk.

I always felt like ambien was a waking dream. The way it made me feel and the things I would see were very similar to memories of dreams that I've had.

I guess I built a tolerance to it, because the effects stopped by the end of the two weeks. I remember a couple years later I took the same amount that I had been taking years before with little or no real effects.

Ive abused Ambien for many years and can tell you the way to get the most outta it is to SNORT IT!!!!! Crush those little fuckers up into a fine powder and up they go..... however.... they burn like a motherfucker, to the point where your eyes will water BUT dont worry about that because you will be tripping balls to the wallz in seconds and forget you even have a nose;)

It doesn't have psychedelic properties like mushrooms or LSD... but I think the term hallucinogen encompasses pretty much any drug that makes the user hallucinate.

ahh i have to disagree, this was a while back, i dont remember how many ambiens i took, but i had to drive a bit to pick up some weed and on the highway i was trippin out, my vision was double/triple like somebody mentioned, i saw bright tracers from cars.
and one other time i took some ambiens, i guess i was sleepwalking and i was talking to my brother in the living room like a normal conversation, then apparently was staring outside from where i was sitting, hallucinating, so ambien can very well cause hallucination
all of the above is similar to the kind of hallucination you find shrooming, just not as strong
