Chapter 7: alasdairm

I firmly believe that the slow suffocation of this forum can be directly attributed to this Douche. Him becoming an Administrator was the second worst thing that's happened to Bluelight since I've been here. I've never met someone that had a larger or more durable stick shoved so far up their ass.

If there's one common theme you may notice in each of these chapters, it's that most of the Senior Staff doesn't do shit. One exception to this rule is alasdairm. While not really any more competent to deal with matters in the countless drug-related forums he doesn't participate in, he has an uncanny ability to stick his nose in those forums' business to give his opinion when it wasn't only not asked for, but it was unnecessary. If he doesn't agree with what you're doing, you can bet he'll bitch enough to actually get the rest of the decision makers off their lazy asses to take whatever action he thinks is right. His ultra-conservative, pretentious, and downright bland perception of what's humorous or distasteful clashes so badly with what liberal speech and this forum stand for it's ridiculous. The only reason he ever posts in threads outside the Lounge is to remind everyone how morally superior he is. I can count the times I've seen something he's posted and considered it a useful contribution on one hands. He's helped warp this retarded elitist clique of Senior Staff that no longer gives a shit about what Moderators have to say, has helped create resentment between Moderators and Senior Staff that Moderators are too afraid to air, and continues to systematically eliminate anyone that doesn't agree with his vanilla view of the world and this forum. In time, people are going to laugh when Bluelight asks for it's yearly 7,500 Euros because of Staff like hin. If there were an Antichrist of Bluelight, that limey prick would be it.

GenericEmo: I really think you need to understand that a lot (all) of the mods you're lamenting are grown ups. They (we?) all have probably grown out of our drug phases, and therefore find less ability to talk about drugs 24/7. I know this is the case with me, and I am one of the most passionate believers in Harm Reduction. I still post in the drugs forums every once in a while, but it simply isn't possible to post more.

Shut the fuck up Jamashyd. You're too emotionally crippled to tie your shoes let alone moderate a forum. Harm Reduction isn't a "Drug Phase." I quit doing drugs a long time ago. That didn't stop me from trying to help people in the focus forums.

The rest of Senior Staff is barely worth mentioning.

sonic needs to step down as Other Drugs Senior Moderator. I've probably made more posts in North and South American Social in the last 6 months as he has in Other Drugs.

purplefirefly was appointed Senior Moderator because sonic, her husband, is one.

For Mariposa, like the vast majority, being Senior Staff has become a fucking elitist social club for her and she doesn't really contribute to Harm Reduction, if she ever did. I wouldn't be suprised if she had an orgasm every time she hit the "Ban User" button, and as often as she does, I doubt she really gives a shit about any of you.

TheLovebandit would hand his mother over to a serial rapist if it would make Bluelight look good in the eyes of the media.

Chapter 8: Conclusion:

These are the people that are running this site. Most of them may have been good contributors when they first joined years and years ago, but now they seem to think they're entitled to do dick all while the Moderators work in the trenches. Senior Moderator is nothing more than a title used to give the in-crowd that's been here a long time superiority rights. These people don't know a damn thing about what's best for this forum. They don't really give a shit about its goals. They're so wrapped up in their perceived power that they're blind to how they're affecting the forum. I doubt I'm the only person that has noticed a more-restrictive, less enjoyable atmosphere here with the addition of Senior Moderators and their the increasingly intrusive role they play. I've talked to other Moderators that remember when they were free to shape their forum into what they wanted without interference from the likes of alasdairm. Now you can't go a week without having one of them PM you about something you posted in the Lounge or elsewhere. Hey Asshat, let the Lounge Moderators decide what's ok in their forum and what's not. They have good judgment, that's why they were chosen to be Mods.

There also used to be a sense of open communication between Senior Staff and Moderators that has vanished. They discuss things where normal Mods can't see, and then they hand down their decisions like they're writing them on stone fucking tablets. I myself took the time to pose several concerns to them about site management. They responded by asking for my resignation. Here it is, I hope you all fucking choke on it.

This will all trickle down to you as members eventually. You'll start receiving warnings for things you used to joke and have a laugh about, just like you get warnings now for things that used to be norm for the Lounge. The people you enjoyed conversing with will be driven away or banned, and you'll find this place to more and more of a chore to like. If you go visit the focus forums you still might catch a glimpse of real dedication and staff that deserve your respect, not demand it.

newsflash: senior mods still act as mods in their own resident forums, they always have done and always will do. some of us do a lot of mod work in other forums that people don't necessarily know about. most of the staff of these forums actually appreciate the help, not bitch about it. and senior mods have been around longer than i've been on bluelight, it isn't a new thing.

bluelight will function just fine without you. don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

You know what since GM got the ball rolling, fuck the Bourgeoisie Bluelighters. I'm still fucking bitter about when I got banned and stripped of my Moderator title. I kept my shenanigans strictly in The Lounge. I made sure I did not dick around in the focus forums. I kept shit entertaining in The Lounge and made sure shit was held down serious business style in Drug Culture.

And now to tobola, he is nothing more than a cyborg Shylock, controlling the Bluelight media, letting rachamin post his fucking Zionist bullshit 24/7.

Standing on a soapbox preaching about how you haven't been given a fair shake to advocate harm reduction/minimization according to your principles.

In any organization, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in balance is an asset. Constant, unyielding agreement to the "cause" of harm reduction detracts from actually doing something to reduce harm.

Your insights, and there are many (I especially valued your posts in SLR), could have been of great benefit to Bluelight. Instead, you chose to hijack a thread that was intended to be lighthearted pisstaking to harass others. Dick move, dude. I do not remember you being quite so contentious when I was in communication with you by PM at previous times for both related and unrelated reasons.

What went wrong here? Smods have duties beyond the duties of their forum(s). Didn't you apply for the position at one time, GM? Your attacking our competency smacks of bitter tears. And attacking people on their looks is just trashy/catty/nasty.

The ascetic lifestyle you've claimed to adopt - no sex, drugs, alcohol, nicotine... you're shutting yourself off yet you must first get in the last word in the conversation. You've substituted all of those for being argumentative and disrespectful. You'd rather fight than fuck.

Can I just say that this is a fantastic thread! It's like watching Mariah Carey go into meltdown... but make a few coherent points rather than rambling about rainbows. Kudos, GM.

When it's locked, I really hope people see sense to have it archived. One for posterity, I feel.

Also: in cool-but-true-story-Hansel territory, I found out about four years ago I was half-Jewish, so my media-minions are free to run amok, and fuck you very much... :p
