So I realize this question is entirely inappropriate for add but I respect everyone's opinion much more than other said forums so I had to ask.

I have ADD prim inattentive. I'm currently in the midst of writing my undergrad English thesis. I'm prescribed a surplus of 5 mg XR Adderall alongside Provigil. Essentially the mixed salt amphetamine has little to no affect on me (30mg plus) these days, unlike its once pronounced impact on my cognitive abilities.

My primary need for Amphetamine is its physiological/cognitive stimulating effect ie mood enhancement and more simplistically its ability to get me up and functioning.

I'm essentially wondering if anyone who frequents these forums could lend some advice. I'm wondering if a phenylalanine supplement, L-Tyrosine supplement or like could be of benefit and or anything available OTC and or dexmethylphenidate.
Aside from that I wonder if anyone could offer a novel method of administration ie. Rectal and or sub lingual for the XR preparation.

I simply need to be able to get my mind in gear to get this completed and as of late I'm struggling.

Thanks a lot. :)

tyrosine might help but you can get a tolerance to amphetamines that after a while is hard to shift. have you tried using them only on days where you need to do work?

meth is available OTC. I like the title of this, no sense in making it descriptive, just keeps with the title though...

Anyway... I dunno how to answer. Just skipping the amphetamine for a week is a good idea.

there are about a million things you could do.

i would switch to d-methylphenidate as its really a fantastic drug, and if your a student with insurance there is no reason to be slumming it with adderal. consider nootropic supplements, daily magnesium, and most importantly drink yerba maté continuously throughout the day (i did all these things (and many more)) and im doin OK).

also this is not advanced.

Is d-methylphenidate Focalin? I know methylphedidate is Ritalin but isn't that weaker than Adderall? Just curious because I am considering switching from Adderall to Focalin for awhile and am having trouble finding out much about people's experiences with Focalin.

[1] Oh yeah, good question! :\ For such complicated questions I can recommend a very useful search engine, maybe you have already about it: Its motherfucking GOOGLE! Type "focalin", first hit describes everything.

[2] You have difficulties to find personal experiences with ritalin here at Bluelight? Oh my...

Thanks for the sarcasm. No, I said I have difficulties finding much experiences on here about Focalin, not Ritalin.

Take a DL-phenylalanine supplement. It's much better than tyrosine, because it also increases levels of endogenous opioids broken down by enkephalinase which D-phen inhibits, and with L-phen you get the added bonus of increasing your phenylethylamine levels, which tyrosine doesn't do. D-phen may also dis-inhibit dopamine pathways.
I would also highly recommend taking a magnesium supplement.

L-theanine found in cammilia sinensis (tea), can also be a good adjunct to your adderall by increasing it's effects and evening out the adrenergic effects. High grade tea would be better than supplementing, since it also has lots of anti-oxidants, which stimulant users need more of to prevent excess oxidative damage. Plus the caffeine, vitamins, and minerals.

No, wow. What shit advice, focalin is so much weaker then adderall. I don't know much shit thats stronger then adderall TBH, just take a break from it.

P.S. D-Meth=Focalin

^ *Dexmethylphenidate

D-meth can be confused with Dextromethamphetamine

and yea focalin sucks compared to adderall

^^
have you had focalin more than once? everyone i know who has used it agrees its is the cleanest stim they have ever tried, virtually no appetite suppression or other side efefcts associated with DL-AMP in adderal. also focal is certainly more potent than adderal by weight, i believe more potent than D-AMP as well although im not sure of this.

Ok, I have not tried anything except Adderall and Dexedrine. Dexedrine did not work well for me. I actually LIKE the anorexic feelings so I suppose Focalin would not be good for me then. How about Ritalin, is the anorexic effect the same as with Adderall/Dex?

^ i gave semi-extensive exirience with focalin and extensive with ritalin and amphetamines. to me ritalin is a dirtier drug and i think the comdowns from mixed amphetamine salts (adderall) and d-methylphenidate and methylphenidate are far worse than dextroamphetamine. IMO dextro- is the best stimulant there is. 10mg a day can provide for supreme productivty. howesver tolerane to amphetamines builds so rapidly it is a huge pain in the ass.

I just want to say that I completely understand where you're coming from. I've posted too many threads that don't exactly belong, but I'm much more sure that I'll be getting a reliable answer here.

I may be wrong here, but I though that the D isomer in DLPA is the one responsible for raising the levels of Phenylethylamine...

Nope. It doesn't metabolize into PEA like some sources say. It just inhibits enkephalinase.

L-phenylalanine however metabolizes into PEA, lignin, cinamminic acid and another amino acid L-tyrosine. Then L-tyrosine > Levodopa, phenylethanolamine, and lignin. Levodopa > dopamine > DOPAC > Norepinephrine > Epinephrine > Adrenochrome. Assuming all the co-factors like vitamin b6 and C are present.
