Advice on Mallinckrodt generic oxycontin 80mg

I came across a few of these today, and was surprised to find out that they are actually a generic form of Oxycontin. I was unaware that there were any generics available on the market these days. The pill imprint has an M on one side, and 596 on the other. Through looking on the net I've determined that these are Mallinckrodt 80mg Oxycodone Controlled Release.

My question is what is the best way to consume these? I've never taken Oxycontin, but have taken 15-25mg of hydrocodone (Norco) on a near daily basis for over a year now. So I have somewhat of an opiate tolerance, albeit not a large one. Would it be dangerous for me to just swallow this 80mg pill? Is that even the best way to take it? Should I crush it up? Snort it?

Thanks guys, I'm just new to Oxycontin, and there is very little info out there about this generic specifically. Just want to make sure I do my research before trying these out.
 
swallow the pill for a nice long lasting high
for a rush and "high" crush and swallow/snort/IV around 20-80 mg in your case however id start low maybe a 20 mg bump and then another 20 in a half hour if your not rockin just work your way up
for some reason i can eat oxys all day and feel jsut fine but after I eat a good handful (10-20 norcos) im straight SHIT faced but I can eat a script of 80s in a day or 2 and be dissapointed. I hate how it wears off at least 2-3 times as quick as hydro. actualy, with little tolerance or a HUGe dose I can feel hydrocodone for 24 SOMETIMES. I mean I can alwasy feel some effects for that long but if im sick its every 4 horus or im sick as fuck but if i have a low tolerance and take like 160 mg of hydro I wont need to redose till later that night
oxy its every 2 hours ON THE FUCKING DOT I hate the shit personaly

better yet, sell the motherfucker for 80 bucks a pop and you can buy a shit ton of hydro/heroin/morphine-any good opie :) fuck that oxy
 
Thanks. Anybody else have some info? I'm a little hesitant to rail these since I've read they have a tendency to gel up and clog up your nose. Could I just crush it up and parachute a third of the powder? Or should I just drop the pill as is?
 
Yea I would parachute 20-25 mg, Oral has a higher bio-availability anyways so its not worth the risk of the losing some via snorting it and it gelling up!

But I wouldn't just swallow it whole... it would be more effective to just parachute a quarter of it every couple hours so you can control the high better if you want to b fucked up for a whole day.
 
The mallie brand oxy ER do not gel up. Thats what Ive been told at least. everyone here gets Purdue OC's.

This is EXACTLY what I was talking about when I tell you to think before posting, or don't post at all when you don't know what you're talking about.

You just suggested he IV a pill that gels up when wet. Not only does it gel, it gels worse than almost any other opiate pill that gels. You really think it's wise to IV that, or even snort it for that matter? And not only did you suggest he IV it, you suggest he IV 80mg, which in his case, would not be a good dose. It would be too much.

EDIT - Not to even mention, you suggesting IVing anything at all to someone who does not IV is irresponsible in and of itself. Seriously, dude, think about what you're saying to this guy. This site is about harm reduction. Is telling someone to IV a dangerous pill reducing harm in any way? Think before answering that.

If you want me to respect you in these forums, show something worth respecting. I'm seriously just going to start unapproving posts like this if you keep this up.

Stick to oral consumption with these pills. Half an 80 swallowed would be good, or 30mg parachuted.

Don't push any further until you're ready.

i would say if you just sucked on the pill for like 2 seconds and just swallowed, you would feel good ALL DAY a good 8 hours.

or i would just divide it into 4 sections, and chew up the little ones first, then move on to the bigger ones later.

anymore questions feel free to ask. I HATE mallis, but its all i can get right now =[

ive been reading this forum trying to figure out best way to take 4-oxy 20s (mallinkrodt). Dont mean to sound stupid what is pareachuting, whats your suggestion best way to take em

what is your tolerance like? If you dont have a tolerance..

Slip one pill into your mouth, suck for 2-3 seconds then just chew up with your front teeth(it will get all gelly and nasty tasting) until it is pretty broken up, and swallow with a sip of water or other drink
 
sorry to bring up an old thread but these are around right now, and i feel that even when i parachute they gel up in my stomach. I read a method on another forum but cant find it now or on BL about letting the crushed powder sit in water for 2-4 hours and then putting through a cofee filter and then you can drink that solution and and it should be just like parachuting a purdue 80, also in that same post he went as far as to say you can evaporate the liquid and snort (and im assuming at this point) also iv the supposed "pure oxycodone hcl" which would technically be left over. Im clearly not the only one who has issues sniffing/parachuting these pills and was hoping someone maybe tried this method and could shed some light on it. It was a method found on opiophile, but i'm at work right now and would like to get one in solution if it takes four hours and im blocked from going on opiophile at the office, but not bluelight! ( :
 
yea these are around lately and i agree they do ball up again because its a lot longer drawn out, less intense high

i would be interested in the coffee filter method if you find the thread
 
Theoretically, you could let it sit in an acidic solution, something like water and a bit of lemon juice, to recreate the conditions in your stomach. After letting it sit for a while, filter, then drink the solution.

That should work, but I'm not 100% sure. It may be worth a try.
 
its the same thing unless youre iv'ing. if you try to iv the generic oxys and hold a flame to it it will gel up horrible bad

I love iv'ing strong opiates. mostly heroin but i still do my fair share of oxys and its a bitch to iv generic oxys. take em back and get the real deal. Purdue did it best the first time.

all you have to do is tell your pharmacist you dont want generic. hell give you purdues oc's you may have to pay more out of pocket but its well worth it

This method does work well. I used to use it frequently on the dreaded TEVAs. Moisten the pill and rub off the colored coating. Grind/shave the pill with a hose clamp, or just crush *very* fine (Mortar-and-pestle or w/e), pour into a small bowl/glass and add the juice of 1-2 lemons or limes. Wait at least 4 hours for the acid to break down the gel like stomach acid would do if the pill were taken according to the manufacturer's directions. Then drink. I got best results if I left the solution sit for at least 8 hours.

I haven't had to deal with the Mallies but I had to deal with hundreds of the nefarious gelling TEVAs and I was satisfied with the above method. Or I'd remove the coating, grind with a hose-clamp, then parachute them.

I didn't see an answer to a previous poster's question about what parachuting is. Someone's probably already consulted Urban Dictionary but just in case… parachuting is putting powder into a rolling paper or piece of toilet paper (ugh), then twisting the paper up to make a little bomb-shaped package and swallowing. For the bomb-shape, think (or Google image) Pop-Pops, those toys that snap when you throw them at a hard surface. Or siu-mai. If you parachute enough pills you'll gain some good dim-sum technique.

Parachuting provides quicker onset of the drug and keeps the powder from sticking in the mouth, which is helpful if you're swallowing a powder that gels. I hate those little blobs of gel sticking to my teeth. I use rolling papers because I prefer the texture over that of toilet paper.
