urine drug absorption

ok i've been wondering this for awhile actually, but only thought about posting it here now.

with many drugs, some or most of the drug is excreted in the urine unchanged or in the form of active metabolites. since you can absorb drugs anally, is it possible that your body continues to absorb a drug (or its metabolites) when it is in your urine before it leaves your body?
 
most drugs probably wouldn't reabsorb. The bladder cells are very very close together, so that even small ions (like sodium, potassium, etc) can't fit through. Its designed so that your waste products in the urine don't leak out and recirculate.
 
hahaha muscimol is I believe actually more potent when urinated than if eaten from the amanita muscaria due to the fact that the ibotenic acid present goes through decarboxylation in the body (or with heat I think) to produce muscimol.

Quite possible (if the compound was not metabolized) but disgusting. Was discussed before here with respect to methamphetamine.

In contrary to the thinking of the thread-opener, there are not this much drugs that leave the body mainly unchanged. The majority of compounds gets effectively metabolized first.
There's good reason for this: To easily enter the brain (remember, we are talking about psychoactives!) a compound must be in general lipophilic. But to get excreted by the kidneys, a compound should be hydrophilic. So, there's a common need for metabolism.

Muscimol is not more effective when ingested from urine compared to plain Amanitas. It would just taste more like piss... Muscimol is muscimol is muscimol.

Apart from this, Sturnam already said the important point: If reabsorbtion from the bladder would be such an issue, the filtering function of the kidneys would get seriously compromised. I mean: In general! That would create a very toxic long-term effect (which it doesn't!)

Not exactly what I meant, once heated (in this case through your body) the amanita acquires more muscimol than it contained before.

The drug I mentioned isn't reabsorbed in the ionized form (most drugs exist in an equilibrium between ionized & unionized forms)
