Wait, what? Do you mean like jeans that have then been cut and turned into shorts? Because if so, then I agree with you, very 80s (ugh, an entire decade of fashion disasters) But if you mean shorts that happen to be made of jean material, well, I like my shorts thankyouverymuch!

And whats wrong with a suit jacket and jeans? I mean, obviously not every day, but if you just want to dress up a pair of jeans a little, or go out to a nice dinner or something without looking overly dressed-up, I think thats a good way to do it!

I suppose its all a matter of opinion, everything else you said I totally agree with though.

the suit jacket and jeans is just tacky. either go all out with slacks and a jacket or nothing at all.

For shorts, I just don't really like the look for females in general but I think they look fine on males.

Of course, I don't really care what people choose to wear themselves and it's not like I'm not going to hang out with someone or something because they choose to wear shorts (lol). I just have a weird thing against them and honestly I don't really even know why I don't like them.

yeah some are way too huge for me but i get super cold around the neck area and those things keep me warm at my office. i could never wear them anywhere but work.
