Loyalty to brands.

Three fucking stripes. ADIDAS. Went to three malls to get a track suit because I needed the jacket to be a size larger than the pants... Got it... Got it all. Gonna get a tattoo in the future....

The only brand I'm really devoted to is Orion, ever since I was in middle school. Skechers are probably next on the list, as my current pair of shoes is by far the best I've ever owned.

i really despise jordan brand for many of their questionable practices (and i don't mean sweatshops), but i do have an overwhelming compulsion to browse, talk about and purchase jordan brand shoes. i'm pretty addicted.
not so much as i'd risk anything for them or buy a pair i'd never wear or doubles or triple or one of every colour or anything like that. but it's still one of my most serious vices.

but it don't hurt anyone and my missus has learnt to live with it. kinda ads to my eccentricities too, that others find a little ...quirky.

No particular brands for me - I tend to go out of my way to avoid them in fact. Especially clothing brands. If I'm going to walk around with a big Nike tick, or whatever, on a shirt I would expect them to pay me for the free advertising.

I've worked in a few factories over the years that manufacture both brand-name and generic products. The thing is that as a rule the only difference between the branded and the generic is the packaging. In many cases the actual content is identical. At least in the limited number of places that I have worked, I'm sure there are many exceptions. It's quite an eye-opener to see how just attaching a different label means you can charge double or triple the price and people don't mind 8).

Brands are just a case of expensive marketing replacing objective reality in the minds of the easily led.

I have a loyalty to expensive clothes that are so good that they don't show their brand. Those in the know just know, and others know they look good

Oh there's tons and I have no idea where I picked some of them up. Others have to do with trial and error, once a company gives me a shitty product I ain't buying shit from them. Mine loyalties include: pepsi, camel cigs, budweiser (not the light shit), Chevy, Xbox, angelsoft, aquafresh, hell i could go on forever.

The only thing I can think of is when I was still working construction I used to be partial to Carharrt jeans. It was because they lasted a lot longer than other brands though. I have a feeling I may be developing a loyalty to Honda right now, but I'm still on my first one and it's pretty new so I won't be buying another car anytime soon.

Other than that, the past several years, I always put a lot of research, mostly online, into any large purchases that I will be making. I get pretty thorough about it and take a hard look comparing the pros and cons. Gets a little bit out of hand really, at some point you just have to pull the trigger ;)

i'm only loyal to tide.. no other detergent seems to clean as well

as for clothes, the quality of my favorites has decreased over time. the only brands that have held up for me lately have been banana republic and BCBG.

i have been loyal to guess frames (eyewear) in the past.

but, like ba, sometimes, i will use something until it gives me a reason to not use it. i used to love sanyo, till i had a phone that completely crapped out on me. now i will never use them. and DHL sucks!!! :)

volkswagen, apple, and guess eyewear frames, like rc.

the first two are things that i've researched prior to purchasing something. the eyeglass frames, i just like how they look.

I'm the least brand loyal person ever. Especially concerning clothes. I've found that even the expensive stuff-- you know, the stuff that's extremely expensive-- is probably about the same quality as some of the cheaper stuff (depending on what it is) OR it's not as good as it should be for the price. In the sense that I've found dresses that were hundreds of dollars that have darts coming out, or the fibers were poly instead of silk and they were just bound to rip. So I make my own clothes--and usually thrift what I can't make.

As for everything else, I usually buy what has the least packaging.

So basically I'm only brand loyal to Apple and Nintendo.

Canon and Nikon cameras...they both have they're strong points so I can't just pick one.

Oh and Sanyo cell phones are awesome....I swear they are the best made phones out there! Mine is about 4.5 years old, is beat to hell, has been dropped out of a car going 30 mph, dropped down 3 flights of stairs, and dunked into a bucket of sanitizer twice, plus it's a flip phone with both clasps broken so it's barely hanging on. Despite all that the thing works better than some of my friend's brand new expensive cell phones.

Oh and of course my loyalty in the turntable market is Technics.

My first cell phone was a Sanyo and I had nothing but bad luck with it. I've gone with Samsung ever since and haven't had any problems.

Sabian cymbals over Zildjians
Pearl drums over Tama drums
Samsung over Sony (unless we are talking Playstation)
DKNY Jeans over everything (so comfertable!!)
Foreign cars over American cars
Nintendo over everything (but i do own a PS2 that has done me well)
Coke products over Pepsi products

Only two brands really irk me:

1. Apple, because the people who work in their stores are all a bunch of indie-rocking, high-and-mighty, pompass-ass douchebags. Though I do own an iPod and respect Apple as a business, their products are a little too pricey for me.

2. Heniken. Though it tastes good, their commercials annoy the living hell out of me to the point where I have to mute them every time they are on tv. I will always choose a different beer.

I gotta smoke newports...I just realized now that I guess not everyone always smokes the same kind? Is there people who smokes "menthol" or "non menthol" and just buys whatever the special is....I guess so....But for cigs it gotta be newports.....The only exception is kools if there is no newports, or if kools is like a dollar or more cheaper or its a 2 for 1.

BA whats wrong with white castle?

I love motorola phones especially the ones they make for nextel becuz they never break...mad durable....aaaand the only other one is PEPSI not coke....God i hate coke so much

I think I'd definitely be able to tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi if given a blind taste test. Coke tastes a million times better than Pepsi to me.

PJ - menthols. I discovered mentol cigs when I found an unopened pack on the ground a few years back (on X).

that and PC food products. good food, good prices, and I get points as I spend that usually add up enuf so that I can buy a christmas/festive meal every year, :)

Weird. I've had Sanyos pretty much always and IME they're pretty much indestructible. My boyfriend has always has Sanyos as well with the same experience. I've had my current phone for probably 5 years now and it works perfectly. LOL I came into this thread basically just to say how loyal I am to Sanyos. :)

Phones, soft drinks and cigarettes-When I smoked cigs, I would always get Camels. I don't drink soda any more, that shit is so bad for you...but it would always be Coca Cola. I will never have a phone from Cellular One, everyone who uses them has nothing but contempt for the company.

For the last few years I've worn Vans sneakers

What else...Toyota, BMW, Subaru, Maxxis tires

edit: and Arizona iced tea, and bush's baked beans
