Chlorpheniramine Maleate taken with DXM Please help

*Dangerous Combo= Coricidin- Don't Try It*

A friend of mine just arrived at my house completely stoked. He took 12 corciden cough and cold tablets. So i asked him to find the box so i can see what else was in them. I informed him that corciden has other active ingredients that are harmful. But when i looked at the box there wasnt any pain reliever as i was expecting. the only other active ingredient was Chlorpheniramine Maleate it says its an anti-histamine what kind of trip will he face and are there any long term effects from taking too much Chlorpheniramine Maleate

FFS, that is very dangerous. That is how many fatalaties related to DXM occurr. Take your friend to hospital is all I can say.

I don't know much about DXM, but I know Coricidin has very very nasty side effects when consumed in high doses.
 
You can find reports of DXM + chlorpheniramine trips here. It sounds as though people have taken that dose and ultimately been fine, but don't second-guess, as CPM has definitely killed people. If anything *at all* worrisome happens, get him to the hospital.
 
alright thanks for the help, he was really scared for a little bit now he says hes fine just uncomfortable.

I agree he will probably be fine, but different people could respond differently to the same dose.
 
I've taken 12 before... mostly I took 8 back in the day. I've done Coricidin about 10 times. It started to suck really bad and to be honest I feel that it damaged my brain a bit. But I never felt the need to go to the hospital. Watch your friend carefully, and if he/she starts to look like they're going to be really sick, then take them to the hospital... people HAVE gotten very dangerously ill from 8 or 12. But it's unlikely. Your friend probably will feel unpleasant and/or sick for an hour or two though.

I take it you're in America... perhaps not. In America, I would not recommend just taking your friend to the hospital for safety, because it would end up causing a lot of hassle and possibly trouble. But if it looks like you'll need to, then don't hesitate. Be careful :|

But seriously I don't get why so many kids do high dose CCC's and put themselves at risk when they can just get pure DXM syrup or even gelcaps. They're both legal and easily available, you know.
 
Kids do it with CCCs because they have no idea what DXM is. They just say hey CCCs get you fucked up lets do that.

Too bad they don't know about Erowid or Bluelight.. ah what would I do without them.
 
yeah he turned out to be fine, i know the dangers of CCC and actually have never done DXM in any form just because i don't know where to find dxm-only gelcaps and cannot stomach the taste of the syrup. I just kinda feel bad cause he randomly showed up at my apartment with one of my good friends and he tells me he just took 12 corciden tablets and since i'm not familiar with any of that, all i know is ccc=bad i think i overreacted and scared him.
 
god I used to chug 360mg bottles... gag reflex control 101.

that f'in «wild berry taste». wildly nauseating.

is cpm toxic on it's own, or is it the ssri-like qualities in combo with dxm that cause problems?
 
Twelve and he should be fine, i'm 200 pounds, before I was aware of Coricidin's dangers, I used them. The most i ever took was 16, my friend infromed me that if i ever took more then 16, i'd probably go into cardiac arrest, and of course die. However twelve should be fine, just wouldn't recommend trying Coricidin again, next time use delsym. It's my favorite.
