chasing amy, clerks coming in a close second, followed by mallrats, then dogma, then clerks 2.

watched dogma again last night (first time in years)
i voted for it.

I can't believe that many people voted for Dogma. That movie tried to mix legitimate subject matter with Smith's normal fart jokes and failed miserably. It was also about 40 minutes too long. And yes, I still own it. :D

I said Mallrats, with Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks in second.

Smith's films begin to grate on me because EACH AND EVERY character with the exception of Jay and some minor characters are blessed with the vocabulary of an English professor. Every time a character speaks it is with a sweeping, convulted, monologue. :| :|

I hate Dogma. What a bore. *yawn*

I loooove Mallrats and Chasing Amy. And I'm a huge loser cos I havent seen Clerks yet but I will!

A somewhat unrelated question here, but does anyone else find the chemistry between Kevin Smith and Jay Mews rather... homoerotic? Perhaps not in the jay and silent bob roles, but more in the commentaries that they've done together. I know Kevin Smtih has a wife and all of that, i'm not looking to start that argument, I just want confirmation that i'm not crazy for having had picked up on some bizzare sexual tension.

You have to read Me and My Shadow in Kevin Smiths blog.....it sheds light on their extraordinary relationship, as well as Mews drug addiction.

Damn, that's insane. Thanks for posting that link. I read the whole thing.

Dogma kicked ass. I voted for dogma. I think a lot of people forget how great dogma is. I own it and watch it frequently. :) Chasing amy was definitely good as well as Mallrats to a lesser extent.

How to pick just one?? I love Kevin Smith & all of his movies... but choosing one I would have to say "Clerks". I think it's brilliant and very funny. It's nice to know Kev is self made success & hasn't shown signs of slowing down. Kevin is a very genuine & accessible person to his fans & that really sets him apart from a lot of other celebrities. :)

Mallrats and Chasing Amy. I hated Dogma!Hmmm...im going to read that link I posted again.
Extraordinary story of a wonderful friendship and kicking heroin addiction.

added sac & miri make a porno. if anyone wants to change their vote, just say.

Drawing Flies!

Okay, it's not exactly a Kevin Smith film, but it's a View Askew movie with all the regulars.

As far as proper Smith movies go, my favorite tends to rotate around like everyone else. You pick a favorite, then you get sick of it, you pick another, then you go back to your original choice eventually. Right now, I really dig Mallrats, but Clerks and Dogma often move to the top of my listing.

And, er ... Drawing Flies rules! =D
