I posted about this in the 7-OH federally controlled thread, but this needs a dedicated thread.

Multiple poison center calls over this adulturated cat's claw product coming from the company Buzzers (owned by true scumbag chris wheeler). What they are doing is buying up all the soon to be illegal 7-OH, I believe they may be converting that to MGM-15 and then doing the rearrangement reaction to get the equivalent of MGM-15 pseudoindoxyl. Time will tell. Ive bought several of their products and I plan on sending in for NMR testing, though I suspect other labs are way ahead of me on this. Whatever it is, it is NOT 7-OH, MGM-15, Corynoxine B (that's a cover) or rhynchophylline (which is added to the product to act as a smokescreen. MF has a youtube channel showing off his ferrarris and shoe collection, rubbing your addiction in your face while he profits from it. Now people are getting sick/possibly dying.

I repeat DO NOT BUY BUZZERS products.

People who have never even taken kratom stumbled on to this product and experience severe withdrawls after only a few days of usage.

I know a lot of you are freaking out because the looming 7 ban but please stay away from these products, they are only going to make it worse.

I'm also hearing rumors of something called super 7 (which is non detect for actual 7) MGM-17 (not a thing yet) and 9 (which is supposedly 9-desmethylmitragynine (9-hydroxycorynantheideiene) but all research shows that it drastically drops in potency when you demethylate the 9 position.

MGM-15 psuedoindoxyl is hypertoxic to the bile ducts of the liver. Significantly more than regular psuedoindoxyl which is also highly toxic relative to the other mit based compounds.

It won't induce liver failure per se, but it absolutely will cause inflammation, scarring, and cholestatic and gallbladder issues.

There is no such thing as "MGM-15 pseudoindoxyl"

All of the oxondoles/oxindoles have no indolic double bond. That is the only difference between 7-OH and MGM-15 (dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine). No double bond and 2 extra hydrogens.
7-OH mass = 414.502
MGM-15 mass = 416.518

Btw, afaik the adulturated cat's claws have just been 7-OH, MGM-15, pseudoindoxyl and there has even been a brand that tested positive for parafluorofentanyl in Tennessee supposedly. At least we've not definitively found any new semisynthetic kratom alkaloid though there are always rumours. C9 and C13 etc.

I have cognitive and memory issues from a series of recent overdoses.

I meant to say MGM-15/psuedoindoxyl are more toxic (to me) than 7oh or other lesser mit related compounds. MGM in particular. Maybe due to sticking around in the liver longer. 🤷‍♀️

I share the same passion for accuracy and punctuality. I would have said the same thing.

My brain ain't been the same since April. Frankly is a miracle I am neither dead nor insane. I randomly suffer from vertigo, disorientation, mood swings, memory loss, typing inaccuracy and word confusion, anger, neuroses, severe ADD, insomnia, nightmares. Etc.

yeah MGM-15 is the least studied of the 3 and I have heard some concerns tho no specifics.
kratom overdoses? just curious..

I would say they were technically overdoses from being extremely supratherapeutic in nature, but no it is certainly chronic in origin. It just got to the point where my body cannot take any more. My bile ducts are scarred to the point they will seal shut with just a little inflammation.

Oh, no. I overdosed on many different drugs. Actually drugs, like heroin, ketamine, meth, benzos, mdma, etc. I'm referring to two different events.

For example there was a period during my last relapse where I went through 2g mdma, 8g ketamine, 2g MXPCP, 1g meth, various benzos, alcohol, various opioids, 60ml of BDO, and a carton of cigarettes.... over 10 days. I was quite literally going in and out of psychosis every few hours the entire time.

People aren't supposed to come back from shit like that. There really is no higher level of use. And that's just a specific 10 day period within the greater relapse which lasted 6 months. Did so many drugs I gave myself a kidney stone. The only thing that spared my life was it started out slow and in the realm of HR to the point where I quite literally developed a heavy tolarance go ALL drugs. Tolerance saved me.

My disease has progressed to the point that when I relapse it gets ugly real fast and I will almost certainly be back in the hospital or close to death in a matter of a month or two.

Combining pseudo, a delta antagonist, with MGM15, a delta agonist. Genius. God only know what else is actually in that shit.
it's hard to trust what's out there in these products. anyone can put anything into a yummy tasting tablet and put on the package that it's not for consumption, to cover their asses. i would say just be careful when buying all these things. get as much info about the vendor as possible. look at the labs, but then again, they could be fudged also.

i looked into this a bit. MGM-15 has been studied, but the research is limited and mostly preclinical. there's a 2025 paper testing MGM-labeled tablets and how purified MGM-15 binds to opioid receptors—not a human safety study.

does anyone have a published source for the specific bile-duct toxicity/scarring claim? i'm not dismissing anyone's experience, but we need to distinguish personal experiences from established effects. we also shouldn't reassure people that it “won't induce liver failure” without evidence. limited research means there are still important unknowns, not that these products are safe.

Sources are included, but this was generated by AI.

Kratom use can cause drug-induced liver injury (DILI) characterized by cholestatic or mixed patterns of inflammation, elevated liver enzymes, and lymphocyte-mediated bile duct damage. [1, 2]

Clinical Presentation and Findings
    • Symptom Onset: Typically appears within 1 to 8 weeks of starting the supplement. [1]
    • Common Signs: Fatigue, nausea, dark urine, pale stools, pruritus (itching), and jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). [1, 2]
    • Liver Enzyme Patterns: Markedly elevated total bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and aspartate aminotransferase (AST). [1, 2]
    • Bile Duct Effects: Histological findings from liver biopsies often show destructive lymphocyte-mediated injury to small bile ducts and canalicular cholestasis (impaired bile flow). Some cases also report functional common bile duct dilation resulting from opioid-receptor-mediated changes in the sphincter of Oddi. [1, 2, 3]

Right I should specify. In very rare cases it can absolutely cause acute liver failure leading to death. However, I am not aware of any actual deaths. There are plenty of case reports about this, and people always make a strong or complete recovery (assuming they stop taking it and go to the hospital). But it could theoretically kill you.

In my case I am specifically speaking of chronic damage, not acute, and that should be noted.

If anyone is worried about this like they might have some issue themselves I would say for me, I became aware there was damage when suddenly one day I started to notice a burning sort of sensation on the right side of my stomach about 15 minutes after eating food. Cannabis would greatly amplify this for whatever reason. I ignored it until I started having pangs of pain randomly around my gallbladder.

I continued using kratom... and eventually it got to the point where my abdominal flank swelled from so much inflammation. Tried quitting but with each relapse it got worse and worse until I started experiencing Cholestatic Pruritus.

My liver enzymes would slightly elevate but nothing crazy. And according to my liver results a week ago, my liver is in perfect health, minus some likely "invisible damage" like scarring.

My gallbladder has calcified and likely needs to be taken out eventually.

I am also an alcoholic. The danger of this occurring is greatly amplified if you combine them. Almost all of the worst cases of this line of damage are in people who use both kratom and alcohol.

Damn dude. We're glad youre still with us and im sorry youre going through this. I work in kratom industry so im always trying to learn about negatives. I knew alcohol amd kratom were bad but id never heard of anything like this.

You sound like a really intelligent person and i appreciate the words of wisdom and caution. Hope it gets better.

I am back in rehab and doing well, thanks.

It would be nice if I could finally get it right this time, since it's been 20 years exactly this month from my first genuine attempt to get sober.

Also sorry for kinda derailing the thread heh
