I'm on 50mg for adhd, I work 80hour workweeks and there's something i have to be done with by sunday afternoon, I'll be able to take a day off on monday, and a 8 hour day on tuesday. so, no need to take Vyvanse any of those days. I took 100mg on saturday morning (20 hours ago), now its 2am and I'm taking 150mg for sunday. how would you dose? I already took ambien and got an hour of sleep at 9pm and I have to get back to work. already dosed 50mg at 11:30pm + 100 at 5-6am is what i was thinking. i took .6mg kpin at 5pm but im sure its not going to do much if anything tomorrow. I'm in my mid 20s, regularly lift and run, BP is usually normal, and resting heart rate 48, no underlying conditions or anything like that

I'm only just starting on Vyvanse myself (came here to search for others' experiences), and but it seems crazy to me to be loading up so hard just to use a downer to get to sleep (and only an hour at that).

You might be fit now and have no underlying conditions, but you're putting so much stress on your system by doing stuff like that (I mean I probably did similar in a recreational way when I was your age, but you seem to be trying to do this strategically and that seems unwise).

While I binged for leisure at times, I found things worked much better at moderate doses—I was mostly using methampetamine at the time—when I wanted to function normally when working through very high workloads (similar hours to you, maybe even a little more). Bingeing was something for when I knew I had the downtime to recover (though with the benefit of hindsight I still wouldn't recommend it). Doing it when you have long stretches of work to do is asking for trouble.

(Basically, if you're in a position where you need to start using drug b to counteract the effects of drug a, you should try to figure out a better way to use drug a—usually that means taking less of it.)

Couldn't agree more with you, pretty retarded way to get high. Not the case here tho, this was for performance purposes, not recreational (not that it matters, my heart doesn't know that lol). I take my prescribed dose like 90% of the time and I'd tell anybody to take as prescribed too.

I'm an investment banking associate at a bulge bracket (hence the 80 hour weeks and weekends working) and sometimes it just feels like I gotta take more due to the pressure, at the end of the day, I abuse it once a month, 2 days in a row max.

As for the downers, I'm prescribed the ambien for insomnia and just take that as prescribed too, and Victan (a super rare benzo) twice a day for panic attacks. My insomnia's been pretty bad since my teens, I'm talking like no more than 5 hours, solved it with therapy and it was gone from 16 till 22 when I started working at this bank, probably due to the immense stress of this job and being on call literally 24/7. Walked out of a date last night because my boss wanted me to come down to the office and make sure all of my team knew exactly what to do and tell the client at a meeting we had this morning.

I got it better than the analysts at least, they work 90-100 hours a week, I was one from 22 til 24, a year and a half then got promoted to associate, I'll get promoted to VP next year and hours will be down to 60-70. I'll finally have more time to sleep and work out.

Meth would for sure get me promoted in a day hahah, what was your job? if you dont mind me asking
