It's unfortunate that the vast majority of christianity teaches false doctrine such as hell...which they use to control their flock with fear.

Jesus taught that those who wanted to be first should actually be the servant of all.

If the whole world followed the golden rule it would be a very different place....treat others the way you would have them treat you.

If someone hurts you or takes advantage of you...don't return evil for evil...pray for them....we are all imperfect.

Romans 13:10 love does no wrong to anyone, so love fulfils the requirements of God's law.
I could go on forever just discussing the sermon on the mount but the above scripture really sums it up....it's about loving your fellow man whether they love you back or not.
Hosea 6:6 I want you to show love not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings.

As a Biblical universalist I believe that we are all children of God...God is love and we are all created in his image with the ability to show unconditional love and in the end all of God's children will be saved.

God has a plan for his creation and it will happen according to his will.

Romans 11:32 For God did shut up together the whole to unbelief, that to the whole he might do kindness.

John 12:37 But despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done most of the people still did not believe in him. This is exactly what Isaiah the prophet had predicted. Lord, who has believed our message, to whom has the Lord revealled his powerful arm. But the people couldn't believe, for as Isaiah also said the Lord has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that their eyes cannot see and their hearts cannot understand and they cannot turn to me and have me heal them.
Everything happens in God's time and order and he will reveal the truth to each one of us when it is our time.

Ephesians 1:9-11God has now revealled to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure, and this is the plan. At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ, everything in heaven and on earth.

freedom to believe in something doesn't grant the believer immunity from being proven wrong.

"I believe I can fly" will quickly be proven wrong if someone pushes me off a tall building

I read this as,
"Man made all decisions, proverbs 16:4, God is infallible.
Man created all prayers, al-furqan 25:2, God never told us to pray."

Not sure if I need a new eyesight prescription or if I just have a few braincells left to see Abrahamic religion for what it is.
 
Religion helps me just as much as 12 step groups, harm reduction, or therapy, etc. I just wish people would tone down the religious violence and bigotry, all I want is life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
