Coming off Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections v 12

I think if things keep going like this, I'll be able to start working and sign up for the gym in September or October. I'm still taking dopamine agonists, and I think I've already lost a few extra kilos, so the gym will only speed up the progress. I miss my old figure like crazy
Can you feel anything when you take them?? And good im glad to hear! Im the opposite I need to gain the kilos! I used to body build now.. im a bit too slim

I definitely feel it. I have more energy, the sluggishness is gone, and my thinking is faster — it's definitely easier to watch YouTube videos and read books now. I've even started studying English a little. Also, on these meds, my cycle came back (it had a disruption in May, and I was really worried), the swelling went away, my sleep became deeper, and I wake up less often. My libido is waking up in bursts. I need to take it for one more month, then I'll go back to the doctor to check my prolactin level, and after that, they'll either stop the medication or extend the course

I'm about 10 months off now. At 44 days, I felt almost no difference yet — it was still very early. But things slowly started shifting after a few months.
As for pramipexole — I can't tell you whether it's "worth" taking, because it really depends on your own case. I take cabergoline, but only because my prolactin was ten times higher than normal on the tests, and it helps lower it. But dopamine agonists can have strong side effects and may worsen things if not truly needed. Please be careful and talk to a doctor who understands what you're going through

I thought about taking carbergoline along with roids to offset prolactin but the side effects are fucking scary. Is your doc monitoring you for heart issues and stuff?

Yes, my doctor is monitoring me. And she told me that if there are any problems, I should either call her or come in. I had blood tests before starting cabergoline, and I'm due to see the doctor again in a few weeks to check my prolactin and overall condition. I'm aware of the possible side effects, especially with long-term use or high doses. That's why I'm trying to keep the course as short as possible and only under supervision.
Honestly, if you're thinking of taking it along with steroids, please be very careful. That combination could put a lot of strain on your heart and hormones

Yup i actually tend to prefer ritalin over amphetamines though. It can help ambition for sure
I’m trying to get a load down here in the UK but it looks impossible lol I’ve always used to think if i could focus i’d be some machine and make so much money, trauma, weed, unnecessary stuff that happened in my life killed my focus

So apparently the mood stabilizer they gave me along with invega also contributes to depression , anhedonia and low motivation. I’m gonna reduce it today as I have to taper this medicine . I’m already less anhedonic 4 months off invega . I think once I get rid of this mood stabilizer I will be back to normal . By October to November I should be back 100%. I still feel empty inside and I’m confident it’s due to the mood stabilizer than uptakes my gaba. It stops dopamine spikes and keeps it flat .

I'm still bedridden 1 year 11 days after last injection

Watchout with the dopamine agonists… I studied the forums and they often in the long term made the situation worse

Just reading through the recent comments, I think one thing worth remembering is that someone else's recovery timeline is not your recovery timeline. One person might notice changes after a few months, another after much longer, and someone else may still be struggling badly. Constantly comparing yourself to whoever recovered fastest can make an already difficult situation feel even more hopeless. Look for your own small changes instead like sleeping a little better, enjoying something for five minutes, having enough energy to shower, going outside, talking to someone, concentrating slightly longer. Those things might feel insignificant compared with wanting your whole life back, but they're still movement.

And when you're desperate it's understandable to start looking at every medication, supplement or shortcut people mention here, but please be careful with that too. Something helping one person's particular situation doesn't mean it's right for everyone. Give yourself time, keep rebuilding whatever parts of normal life you're currently capable of, and don't write yourself off because today still feels terrible. You don't have to recover all at once. You just need somewhere to go from where you are today. :heart3:
