Does thought always proceed action?

I agree entirely. Time is a myth imo, it seems linear to man, but is circular, like a Snake swallowing it's own tail. The body commences an action before it is even aware of the thought that created it. Try holding paradoxical ideas in your head for long periods of time, that's where wisdom is gleaned ime, but, tread carefully for it can be crazy making. Try thinking of yourself as both the observer and the observed at the same time.

100% agree. That's why I mentioned cognitive dissonance.
 
I’m confused. From the title I was thinking it was about whether we always thought before we acted.

For that I would say that it depends on the type of action you are referring to. Deliberate actions usually begin with conscious thought. But we have reflexes that can happen before conscious thought. Then we have habits that become automatic and bypass conscious deliberation. But emotional reactions usually precede conscious reasoning.

That’s why we need to train our minds to be stronger then our emotions because our hearts are stupid as shit lol

We’ve all got opposing forces trying to control our choices. This is where self discipline comes in at and why it matters so much.

I believe that there’s our flesh and then there’s our spirit. Our flesh always wants its way. And it’s always gonna try to take the easy way out of everything. It wants food when we’re not really hungry. It tries to make us feel lust before we feel love. It always wants to be comfortable. It craves constant validation…stimulation…attention…sugar…dopamine…all of it. But I think our spirits are totally different. Our spirits crave more discipline and truth. It’s not as flashy. It’s not as loud. It’s usually more focused. But everything around us is constantly draining us……physically, mentally and spiritually. This is why I think it’s important to be intentional with how we decide to recharge because that’s what we become dependent on. It’s easy to get addicted to all the noise…the chaos. But I think that’s when you become more at risk to falling victim to the algorithms and getting stuck in negative feedback loops where actions get stimulated without conscious involvement. That scares the hell outta me. That’s why I have to get away from all the noise and regroup in solitude sometimes. I never wanna become insensitive to my own voice….my own moral compass. I never want those lines to get blurry. We can’t be accountable for our actions unless we consider the consequences before we make them

First tactics of an abuser slope ! What are the the micro tactics. Those things to watch for very early on with someone.

Do they always have to be right. Do I always have to be wrong. Do they have an answer for everything. Did they really take my comment or my concern with any real value.

Did they attach any real value to it. Did they hear me. But did they really care what I had to say about what they just said or did and the impact that it had on me. The evidence is in the behavior. You know that's the thing we need to pay attention to is the behavior.

Everything you said was spot on and how it should be. But you can’t reason with narcissism cause it’s all about self. Your feelings and well being arent even contributing factors. With narcissists you’re dealing with straight up animal instincts because like you said they’re not sensitive to the human condition. You can’t fix them. Don’t even put yourself thru being apart of that construction crew.

But you’re exactly right about people becoming less appalled as they should be. This shit matters. When someone tells you that you hurt them you dont get to tell them that you didn’t. Because you did. This world has became a place for the losers to win

Yeah because we teach people how to treat us by what we tolerate

But a person can remain kind while also being discerning. Wisdom helps goodness become more resilient. The goal is to avoid becoming cynical and bitter while learning to combine compassion with discernment. That can be hard when you’re hurting.❤️💔

I agree w that. Behavioral analysis people get paid good money because it's hard to figure out what causes behavior, sometimes. But it also shows how important it is.

As long as I can remember there is always something wrong with people and society. Even though we are aware of our own dysfunctional ways of dealing with whatever, there is never any real solution to fix things. Perhaps because we as a society cannot agree with what is right or wrong, instead we just complain. I think that is all we can do given the fact we cannot find or agree on a happy medium.

Getting back to the OP, first of all thanks @BK38 for the video, it was helpful. https://ibb.co/chr0rXLs I'll believe it when I see it or I'll see it when I believe it, does not take into account the identity of things beyond what is seen or understand outside of a measurable point of view. What is not being measured or accounted outside a measured state does not exist. It's like the peek-a-boo theory, if you see it, it is there, it exist because you see it. If a tree falls in a forest and no one is there to see it, how do you know a tree has fallen?

Point taken, I subscribe to YouTube premium because of the commercials, however, the video was obviously sponsored by a data removal company. To be honest, the commercial had nothing to do with the subject matter.
