It should be obvious to anyone who's been to even one sex ed class in school that you should wear a rubber when you have casual sex. Most people would recommend it.
Yet I wonder - how many people practice what they preach? I, personally, have found that most people are pretty willing to go bareback even on one-night stands. Out of my roughly 50 sexual partners during my lifetime, not a single one has requested that I use a condom, when I myself have been willing to risk it. That does mean that many of the partners with whom I took the initiative and pulled out a rubber might have insisted, had I not assumed that's what we were doing, but when I've been willing to go bare, they've been up for it every time. I have used protection with roughly 10, max 15 partners.
I realize that my experience (as a drug user) may be skewed towards the people that are more willing to take risks. But I wonder if this is as common as my small sample would indicate.
