This isn't really all that great of news.
It just puts the drugs into Big Pharma's hands. And the government will "control" it. Probably cost a fortune to try it.
And it's BULLSHIT. These claims that psychedelics can "cure depression", "cure anxiety", "cure addiction", is just flat out deceptive marketing.
No amount of psychedelics or dissociatives even have ever made me stop wanting opioids or feeling depressed.
Do I think psychedelics should remain illegal? No of course not. But I also think it's bullshit that the government gets to "control" everything that helps people. Not to mention all the people with depression or addiction who might try it, only to find out their problems will be back not long after they're done tripping.
I know some one who's gone to Peru dozens & dozens of times for their Aya ceremonies & they still struggle with the same issues that they went there to "cure".
I think fanatics of psychedelics (like Rogan) are pushing this "cure for depression/anxiety/addiction" angle in order to get their favorite class of drugs more legally recognized. But they're also gonna throw the rest of us drug users under the bus by being all like "it's safer/better than taking opioids!".
I don't trust psychedelic proponents because they often slam the rest of us drug users in favor of getting their favorite drugs legalized.
I've been on 50 LSD trips probably in just the past 4 years & I'm still an opioid junkie like I've always been.
