I'll have a go. First there are jumps in your paragraph topics without adequate transitions in some cases. Like the jump from the petrochemical medicine thing to antipsychotics. These paragraphs may have connections that are obvious to you, because you wrote it, but they are not obvious to the reader. So make good use of transition statements when shifting focus, even when shifting it a little.

Also, this is evidently a highly personal issue for you and that is fine for your writing. But I think your argument leans too heavily on your anecdotal experience and opinions instead of hard facts you can verify externally. So I suggest bringing in more sources. The last source you had in the references list is a great start. But you'll want to throw in statistics, quotes from experts, hell, even information from pharmaceutical firms' white papers or public reporting (it's fine to use your opponents' words against them). Support for your claims is especially needed to prove the efficacy of alternative treatments for psychosis, and the conspiracy claims.

Overall I think it's a strong start but it still needs some work if you are going to convince people who are on the fence or who initially disagree with your claims.

So those are just some suggestions on ways to shore up your writing. I hope they help!

Thanks. @Gridlink
I live to fight and die another day.
Even if it’s a little controversial, it’s advocacy to bring about policy reform. So to try to spread a narrative about the hell many of us been through.

From petrochemicals in the 10s and 20s to typical antipsychotics in the 50s.

He replied, "about the hell many us been through".

That would almost certainly mean, yes. Or at the very least been drugged up, but in a bad way. Medically, and his "advocacy to bring about policy reform"
Seemed very personal. Needs sources to be credible.

Have you been involuntarily committed before ions?

, combined with the first quote, should be obvious that he knows about this firsthand.

His reply, should have made it clear; that he knows about this, personally. ☹️

Am I, wrong? ( sorry, about the reply being where it is, opps).

Hey guys. Yeah it was designed to be an OpEd article. but thew some sources in as requested.
I've been in trouble with the law, went to jail, where they drugged me. then transferred to a psych ward or hospital unit for several months.
I never asked for help. and the reason I went to jail stemmed from one girl claiming I harassed her followed up with a number of jealous cops and corrupt judges.
Eventually I got out of jail, but time served for any purpose here was because the courts shit on my constitutional rights of freedom of speech.
I didn't realize from my background that you could get locked up simply for trying to get a date with the opposite sex.

I can say I have seen antipsychotics 'weaponized' (By which I mean EVERYONE INVOLVED (but the patient sometimes) knows the effects will be more negative than positive for the patient) on many many occasions.

One as small as a man who was a prick of a patient being given thorazine for the medical reason of "Wiggling toe" (Restless legs or w/e) -- that is a WILD CHOICE for restless leg.

Hospital staff are usually familiar with the phrase "Thorazine zombie" (Which is a bit telling in itself)

This is absolutely something that happens; Doctors just blunting problem patients with antipsychotics to make life easier for THEM --- with what frequency and what regions does it happen it is the data I want.
(But will never get because noone is dumb enough write "Reason for thorazine prescription" --- "This guy is a pain in our ass")

It one of those situations where you gotta give the hospital the benefit of the doubt -- but they also know and abuse that (If desired) basically unchecked.

This has never happened to me. I have seen it happen first hand - heard nurses laugh about it first hand etc

It's pretty nuts to have to witness what goes on in the hospital sometimes.
It was bit unnerving to see some patients still going through electroshock treatments for psychiatric disorders. That was 2010.

Yeah so the dates on my experiences were 2010 for 51 days in the hospital and 9 in the jail.
Then again in 2011 53 days in jail and 4 months in the hospital then 8 months in a halfway house in CT.
the injections have been ongoing since 2011 to date.

Yeaa idk about the thumbs up but it indeed is -- including electroshock last I heard (Someone threatened with it)
I am not pro ECT(Electro Convulsive Therapy); I am just aware of how common they are because my Brother In Law gets them every few months as therapy when he goes off his Meds and ends up either in the ER or in custody of the police. They hit him with ECT followed by inpatient psych treatment.

Shoot so it is still a current thing (i thought as much) -- Sorry to hear about your brother in law! -- even though it sounds he may be bringing some of it on himself.

ECT Before inpatient!? UK right? I think in the US that would be pretty unorthodox but I am not a doctor or anything (Just been around alot of ppl that work in the hospital as it was one of like 3 sources of employment in the town)

No, in the US ...

He has over 5 decades of repeated behavior. Medical records and patient history are definitely are part of treatment.

But none the less, ECT is still a commonly prescribed therapy for cases of this nature.

Hi Anthony. I am reading your article. It is very interesting. I like it a lot.

How long did it take to write ? It's a lot for those not quite in the exact research field.

How much jail time did you serve ? It's good to have knowledge of a legal background in law as well.

How long ago was your incarceration ?

I will have to look into more of your articles or directories or where

they may be available. It's actually easier to remember as written comprehension anyway.

Thanks for contributing. Oh and are you able to get an expungement for the legal process that occurred ?

But of course you have to behave. Wink wink. It seems the time served wasn't too extensive ?

It's cool being able to appreciate sources, articles, and references for information.

And Very nice of you to have some work to offer.

I'm also sorry to hear about your legal situation if it was over petty charges.

Take Care. Thanks for the article and looking out. And also being aware.

It took 30-45m to write. then a few weeks of edits back and forth. Working with the Aussies was neat. only that they were sleeping when I was awake. and They were awake when I was sleeping. so back and forth had a bit of a timing issue.

I'm brainstorming for the next one. but don't wanna rush it. like things to happen organically.

Check out post #8 for the stints incarcerated.

Thanks @Ki3ly always for your support. ♥️

Media, Science and Research. I am still having trouble with the location of the thread.
I just somehow catch it in the live feed.
What Section ?
