🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 S + G Social Thread v. The Flea Flicker

No one watches the Olympics? I have to say the opener was weak. In the 1970's the Olympics had presence. Back in the Mark Spitz days, and Bruce Jenner/ now Caitlyn Jenner. It was more festive. But I think that is because back then we had a TV set with 5 channels and the Olympics was a great thing to watch for entertainment. These days we are swallowed in social media. No once cares anymore? I hope I am wrong and some younger people enjoy. But so much has happened in that time to soil the whole notion. I would love to be disagreed with on this issue for my own sake.

Seems like a lot of people are watching the Olympics. My folks are pretty heavily. Lots of memes going around about the shooting and stuff like that.

That is good to hear. I have been watching too. Not use to some of the sports, seems some stay the same and others just get out there. I mean I guess there was always smart ping pong no??
 
Just popped in hearthstone after a 5 year highatus

Used to crush at it

Losing almost every game, either stuck holding big cards or can't clear the board. Mostly can't clear the board. I sort of forget how to play.. but it's on the tip of my tongue.

Maybe I stop trying Shaman because it's too slow a deck and these days it seems like, so far at least, that people are playing very fast pace aggressive decks.

Edit - face hunter is the go, just got legend (for the first time ever) with it

anyone seen the upcoming remake of TR and TR:Catalyst?

catalyst is underworld with next-gen graphics and TR 2026? well the new game, probably merging the SOTR story and seeing Lara also in big cities.

Idk exactly I have a theory but am lazy and honestly I dont bother since they'll use UE5.. yack

Square Enix engine was more than what it was asked for, and while true SOTR lacks the optimization of ROTR — doesn't mean they should've let go but instead learn. Because with UE the work will lack diversification and the devs probably will jump the boat to other available studios.
 
I know because my 980Ti had it run at 120fps and it did crash once 20m/1hr. (980 both non and Ti version, offer directx 12.1 ultimate as a kit not feature). So 12/11/VULKAN=crash.

My 4090 can run it like my old one but I had some crashes once in a while.

always talk on the classics. I remember back when PoP4 came out and up to this day, is the most complex game in the saga, graphical/mature content wise. When the GTX 280 came out on the market we were able to max out the graphics, the 9800GTX wasn't fully capable because not many PC's were able to be equipped with 4/6GB RAM thanks to the price they had, and more often, they were unified sticks(non-equal models).

I guess, for the gaming world, to just think, that the 280, destroyed a lot of rushed optimization too.
 
tomb raider were one the first AAA platformers on the market

it's such a shame i cannot finish sotr because its a cluster fuck OF A GAME, i got a motherfuckin expensive rig you dumb fuck developer, why the fuck, can't i brute force your shitty bedroom ENGINE you use to pee
