Coming off Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections v 12

try getting a perscription for rifampicin if things get intolerable...but keep in mind we are all in this together and we have no support except each other, we must fight and give each other hope.

I swear i wanna be positive but things are hellish for me that i cant even tolerate it anymore, its like torture every second that i spend in here, please guys be positive but you guys at very least can sleep, i cant even do that to pass the time, its insane how im fucked right now and i cant even find a pill to finish it, i tried TMS and acupuncture and no help i tried pills no help what could i do that i didnt?

Invega is still in your system...it doesnot all flush out in 6 months. Wait a few more months and it will get easier. If you cannot wait then a perscription for rifampicin, which will have side effects but it will give you some relief from invega.

Rifampicin has so much side effects and pretty sure cant help alot with my situation

Garbage advice. They’ll just drug you up with some other random antipsychotic and say you’re suffering from mental illness. Or they’ll say it’s expected and having some akathisia is better than being in psychosis

Thats what exactly happens every time i talk to shrinks, they prescribe AP again , im so tired of this shit and it never gets better im just looking for a way to end it, i might try ativan tomorrow if it doesn’t work i have no other choice

If you have ativan try that. I self treated my akathisia with clonazepam and morphine when i got it from latuda. It knocked it right out even before the ambulance showed up. I wouldnt suggest opiates for obvious reasons but a benzo is certainly better then akathisia

Good luck man. I see you’re in your 5th month. We aren’t that far apart in time in our recoveries

Dude you recover good stuff im still dealing with insomnia and akathesia and im literally useless bedridden, cant take it anymore tbh i wanna give positivity recovery is possible but at least i know not for me

If your a guy get your testosterone levels checked. Im pretty sure invega and abiify is what tanked mine. Im on TRT now and feel like a 18 year old again

I fell for that trap in the beginning because my akathisia was so bad and I needed a solution. Living with it is unbearable, you can’t just soldier on with it. I was an idiot and started olanzapine with Invega. Now I’m quite sure the reason I haven’t noticed any improvements at six months off the injections is because I’m taking olanzapine. It didn’t stop my akathisia but helped me sleep.

@morez Unlike me who is taking another antipsychotic you’re not and you will recover. Don’t make the same mistake as I made and start taking olanzapine to help you sleep. This has ruined my life and because of this I haven’t noticed any recovery signs at 6 months off my injection. You will heal, just don’t take another antipsychotic. Olanzapine is hard to taper and come off as well if you start it. Don’t be a fool like me who has self sabotaged their life by taking another antipsychotic and hold on. Explore treatments for akathisia but not antipsychotics. Olanzapine doesn’t stop it anyway, it will make it worse.

Why would a doctor give you olanzapine for akathisia? That makes no sense. I dont get any side effects from olanzapine but then again i can take thorazine without any major side effects either. Only invega and abilify fucked me up

What about a z drug for sleep?

Dude i was taking seroquel 25mg for sleep for at least 2months, i think we are in the same boat and thats why we both didnt recover

I seriously doubt 25mg's of seroquel would cause your symptoms. Thats not a antipsychotic dose at all

The easiest thing you can do right now is cold shower and after that some exercise for as long as you can. Doing this boosts your dopamine temporarily and provides relief.
