I have had adhd as a child and an adult. My IQ by Mensa is 140 and am gifted in non verbal mathematics and logic. Other areas in mathematics and english are also gifted. I have a game development company and am in college for AI at University of Advancing Technology. I am top of my classes in programming and english, as I can code and write very well when needed. I spend much time with school work perfecting my studies. I have my pharmacy technician certification and almost have my LPI 100 level certification for linux system administration, so I can be my system administrator for my company.

I am a profressional programmer and company owner, but also a student. I need appropriate adhd meds, as my disorder gets worse the older I get. My energy is solid and I have ever lasting energy, but not high amounts of energy with exaggerated mood and activity. I get blanking mind, focus on activities but have no attention. I have competing internal and external worlds. I space out much, and this much be address due to my company and school with the three hour lectures year round. I have been on adderall xr and d-amphetamine many times in my life.

I need the correct medicine and saffron and ritalin need to be tried in my treatment. Is saffron a good choice to try first as my sensory overstimulation is sever and is the worst part of my disorder. It is extremely severe, and need medical treatment immediately due to loosing my company and failing school.

Always good to try the least invasive option first. Its not like youre bound to that if it doesnt work anyway, but go with what feels right to you.

There is very little high quality reproduceable science that suggests saffron has use for psychiatric conditions.

No offence mate but you need to ask a Psychiatrist these questions not Bluelight. I sincerely hope you get the treatment you need!

Yes, see a psychiatrist. Trying to manage ADHD, or whatever is wrong with you, with drugs on your own can make things worse, and potentially even torpedo your education or career. See a psychiatrist. There are many other options for ADHD, and some are not stimulants.
And, I agree that saffron won’t help you. I played around with it and the effects are subtle and inconsistent.
