UK full spectrum cannabinoids providing a much more pleasant effect than regular Green.

Also high dose CBDV is the only isolate that has given me good effects. It's like being stoned strictly in the body. Others I've tried are CBD, CBN, CBC, delta-8, and delta-10. delta-10 feels like it has potential.

Thanks for sharing, I’ve tried CBN and CBG in Greece and it’s sparked a interest in alternative cannabinoids.

Before finding full spectrum cannabis that was low THC I had to give up on weed, something that generally helped me alot and whether a crutch or not kept me from hard drugs and nicotine growing up, until stupid strong flavours hit the UK scene and I started getting severe anxiety, and dissociation around 14.

It’s a relief to have a product again 10 years later that is so helpful.

I am preparing for tolerance to come in and then those issues down the line, but it’s amazing to have something that is so helpful, cheap and legal.

After a few weeks it’s still producing a reliable effect at the same level, with same amounts and for the same duration, but time will tell…

Had to fix that post because of our forum's ridiculous formatting functions that I asked them to change.

yes to myrcene, i found it to not contribute much except a lot of sneezing and the smell/ taste of plastic/ solvent (i dunno who thinks that's "fruity" but it's definitely not fruity at all to me)... and now i can smell it in the weed when i get high myrcene stuff, so i know its legit. i also got beta pinene and alpha pinene, linalool (strangely a lot like myrcene but more flowery and lavendery of course)... and i forget if others,

but most importantly alpha caryophyllene (aka humulene) and my favorite (beta) CARYOPHYLLENE!!! whoever said "spicy" black pepper doesn't have my nose... it's the woody, elegant, sensual side of black pepper... not pungent/ spicy at all.

i look for caryophyllene in my weed now... it's the best.

i find both caryophyllene & humulene to have a kinda (subtle) dissociative effect on their own, but just the smell alone... it smells like something mystical, magical... sensual and forbidden! subtle as hell but wonderful! kinda hits the same part of my psyche as brugmansia flowers or one of the fragrant ornamental daturas when they flower at night. they don't smell like caryophyllene, but it makes me feel a certain way, a certain je ne sais quoi.

i haven't done a ton of back and forth experimenting, but i find cannabinoids to have much more profound fx... like cbc, for example.
Got some broad spectrum Oil today with that Terpene caryophyllene.

0.54mg terpene, 2.9mg CBD per spray and mystery level I suppose others, as it’s broad spectrum, but unsure if this is diffrent to “full spectrum”

5sprays makes me feel high but functionally,

Very pleasant, longer duration . 4-5 hours versus about 2-3 hours from smoking.

Very pleased tbf, just a local organic shop I went on my lunch break.

Completly off topic but is your icon the coat of arms for Brittany? cool place and fascinating history.
Yes it is, and yes for sure.

Nice. Sublingual is a good way to use terpenes/cannabinoids. A spray is a good idea, I was making a version in pipette bottles with a dose range of 3-9 drops.

I think "broad" spectrum might be a legal way to label oils with added food-grade terpenes but don't quote me on that. Full spectrum is a more well-known term so there must be a reason why they didn't use it. My guess is they added some caryophyllene to increase the total % so they could mention it on the label.

If you get another bottle and want to experiment, you could open it and add a few drops of lemon oil to make the high more uplifting, euphoric and mentally stimulating.

Maybe it's the way you were using it? (smoked, dabbed, vaporised, skin or orally?)

Myrcene works the same way as the drug clonidine, it blocks adrenaline and increases GABA, opioids and endocannabinoids.
In high doses you get couchlock since the body uses adrenaline to move. The GABA, opioid and cannabinoid effects tend to amplify the couchlock sedative effect (for context, benzos are GABA drugs).
In low doses myrcene is nice and uplifting.

The 2 pinenes are probably worthy of being called Sativa type terpenes. They're generally mentally stimulating which is why pine essential oil is known to cause mental clarity and focus.

If you enjoy caryophyllene & humulene you might enjoy these other "sesquiterpenes": bisabolol, nerolidol, guaiol, valencene. They're all potently sedating except for valencene (from Valencia oranges hence the name).

I also prefer anything full or broad spectrum over isolates, they give the more "natural weed" feeling

there's a balance of effects from the various minor cannabinoids which seem to have a huge impact on the experience. I almost never use isolates like distillate anymore, it just skyrockets tolerance without much of the other benefits I get from full spectrum

❝ ❞ People don't realize that cannabis is a psychedelic and every time you light up the joint you're opening up a portal. So if you have this low quality cannabis that was grown indoor and sprayed with chemicals and pimped out for profit you're not going to have a very enlightening experience. That's why it's dumbing you down. I always say the dispensary weed, it makes you numb, dumb, and disconnected from yourself. That is how I feel. I try to give it a chance. It never works. Every once in a while, you'll find a dispensary that has an organic option. But if a brand is not going out of their way to let you know that—hey, we're doing this organically, we're doing it in living soil, we're not adding anything unnecessary in here, they're very transparent about their growing process—if they're not doing this, it's not worth consuming that cannabis. And so i'm very proud of what we have here, like i said, "Chill tincture" and "Stoney tincture", this is a great way to ingest plant material. As you guys know, it's very potent, very integrative into the body.

Why Old Weed Hits Better  @AmbrosiaBuds  2026-05-03  h‍ttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vbDh7qrUJmE

Cannabis used to hit different — and it wasn’t just nostalgia. Before legalization, weed was grown slower, cured better, and had richer terpene profiles that actually created a full experience. Today’s market is obsessed with THC percentages, lab-created extracts, and mass production — and the culture has paid the price.
In this video we break down exactly why old school cannabis was superior, what the industry got wrong, and what real quality actually looks like.
🌿 Quality over potency. Always.

ChatGPT summary
───────────────────────
The creator claims that older cannabis felt “better” than modern dispensary weed because past products had a more balanced mix of compounds—not just high THC. He argues that today’s market prioritizes very high THC levels and concentrates (like distillates), which strip away other cannabinoids (like CBD) and terpenes.

He cites a Should I Smoke Dope? experiment where:

• A journalist reportedly had a pleasant, mild experience with whole cannabis flower.

• But with pure THC, she experienced severe paranoia and distress, scoring extremely high on a psychological scale.

The explanation given is the “entourage effect”—the idea that THC works best when combined with other cannabis compounds (CBD, terpenes), which may moderate its effects. Without that balance, THC alone is more likely to cause anxiety or negative reactions.

The creator concludes:

• Modern cannabis is often too THC-focused, sacrificing overall experience.

• Older or “landrace” strains may feel better because they’re more chemically balanced.

• High THC ≠ better; balance matters more.

Reality check:

The entourage effect is a real research topic, but the video overstates and simplifies the science. Evidence for it in humans is still mixed, and the documentary example isn’t strong proof on its own. Also, modern cannabis varies widely—there are balanced products available, not just high-THC ones.

If you want, I can break down what science actually says about THC vs CBD vs terpenes (it’s more nuanced than this video suggests).
