Is A.I. waiting to take over ?

that conclusion is a bit too black and white for me, that study was only done on students who were using chatgpt to write an essay

meaning they didn't use it for research they simply told chatgpt to write the essay and copy paste

they didn't proof read or anything, so of course just like copying your friend's essay you won't learn anything

I think extrapolating such broad conclusions from such a narrow study can't be done, there are many different ways to use these tools and this is obviously not a good way. just like copying an essay from your friend is not a good way to get through school

Edit : Oh yes. I do think AI took over somewhat. And We are living in it.

Because they recognize the uncanny valley and the disembodied voice. That poor kid whispering because 'it talks to me and I don't want to hear it'.

What I find frankly troubling is why people would continue to use these devices when their kids are clearly put off by it. I don't use voice assistants almost ever - every once in a while I might when driving if I need to make a phone call for whatever reason (though frankly I don't like doing that either).

Technology is destroying human connection.
 
AI, is that the rich man's new hope? You can ask AI the same question two different ways and get two different answers.

There are too many areas that a human mind is needed that AI will screw up. I've seen it totally screw up on medical questions. It will be nice when someone sues someone (US of course where lawyers are sharks) because of AI.
