The first time I listened to Joe Walsh “The smokier you drink, the player you get”
Was the first time Iv’d MDA

I nodded out the guy with me was concerned because I was out for a long time. Best times of my life was during the 1970s. I was fresh out of high school and my small part of the world was my playground. I was invincible until I wasn’t. When my world collapsed my mind shattered into a million fragments of what I once was.
I love drugs, I love how they work and what they can do to an ordinary person like me. I don’t regret a minute of my life.

this album was a bad trip in my teens, even though i like both the artists that did this album:

this was a good trip:

i also listened to a ton of other music, but these two stand out as memorable experiences. i have a few other memories of psychedelics and music that i've posted to BL.

i used to listen to brain eno's ambient work even though he's not really the best ambient musician, but his music was always in my changer when i used to use a lot of random drugs as a teen.

another which is forever entwined with those speed-soaked nights
"Ash on the carpet and dust on the mirror
Chasing shadows and the dreaming comes clearer
Gasping for colour, this perfect heart..."

1st Bob Marley album I really got into, heavily reminds me of my first summer of cannabis use. Loads of hot-knives of squidgy black indian hash or Red Lebanese (all high quality but we didn't know that at the time cos inexperienced). Must have listened to this album daily for a couple of months

"Excuse me while I light my spliff" yessir, indeed we will
