Having a second night on the yips. So when I turned on Radio 1 after arriving home as the last yipee started pouring more serotonin flavored rave rush gravy that has me for real on the way it should, even with respect to how smooth my brain turned out. Any way, Despite having not listened to Radio 1 during the station broadcast live - Even the EM's I had not looked at any contemporary shows so, fresh in the house and green from the beans the first thing I thought about was just putting a quck accsess sound on while I set up the main pklaylist - Radio 1 being the choice on a sky box. But to then find out its not only hardcore jungalism, not only the ESsemtial Mix but an archival select - DJ Rap form Sept 98.

Its that perfect late 90's rave sound and I had seen her play only once - Celebrating the end of a Club Tour ESP Dreamscape were using the Sanctuary Music Arena in Bletchley, which unlike the 8000 capacity parties both Helter Skelter and DS were using the whole Denbigh North lesuire complex, As a 'Club Dreanscape' event they only licensed the 3000 capacity Sanctuary Arena itself and although the main arena's music mostly consisted of upfront happy hardcore, they had put the late THHT DJ Randall in the middle of Hixxy, Dougal and all them stompy cunts, as well as DJ Rap. It was first night I had ever taken Mitsubishi's while the OG press from late 97 still saw itself out and the weekend after she played this EM for Radio 1 was watching her from a few hundred feet away as my first ever pill kicked in Dreamscape, making Rap the first artist I experienced in full rave context after using speed to go out onle up until then.

Anyone in the UK can access it now through the iPlayer, and as a Radio 1 broadcast alone,, does not require TV license to legit enjoy.

^^^^^CLASSIC, one of the first jungle tunes I ever heard I think

sounded incredible at 50k watts on a couple pink callies at World Dance 1995 I can tell ya
Yeah I remember back in 1993 or maybe 1994 when I first heard Jungle, I was only into Old Skool Death Metal back then & my Jaw hit the floor when my mate put on a old TDK tape of the early Jungle tracks.

Dead Dred - Dred Bass made such an impact on me, I had NEVER heard anything like it & I became obsessed with edited Amen breaks & that "hoover" bass in a second.

I used to go with my mate to Don Christie Records in the middle of Birmingham every Saturday to check out the latest Breakbeat Hardcore / Jungle releases, those days were amazing.

Alongside Dead Dred - Dred Bass this track is also burned into my memory, it was the 2nd Jungle track I ever heard & I love it still to this day as much as the first time I heard it.

Sweet f/a at the moment but after scoring later, a mix of 60"s+ rolling stones, then Dr john cooper clarke then a total mish mash of tunes propably some late 80's acid house depending on mood
