If you’re saying he’s done some dumb things you won’t hear any disagreement from me. By that same token though, he’s definitely smarter than majority of anyone who posts on this board politics aside

Yes rich people can be dumb but my point is that broke people are dumber at way more reliable and predictable rates lol

if you don’t like using net worth or cash then credit score definitely would be a better indicator too

But hey, if parts of our economy is contingent on illegals basically workin for slave wages while not payin taxes, sending money home, and business owners not being held accountable maybe it’s time to take a look at that system too. Maybe we can make it easier to migrate here LEGALLY once you’re proven to be an asset to our nation rather than a liability instead of this current system. I’m okay with that

Why’s everyone point the finger at the ICE agents and not the employer who’s breaking the law by not complying with I-9 requirements and engaging in labor exploitation? These are really serious ass offenses, not very far removed from slavery.

I’m open to revamping the system to streamline the immigration process to make it smoother for contributing parties. Until then however, I wanna see those numbers pumped up beyond Obama’s ideally. Removal agents are out each every day in my city, working the docket rain or shine, and they’re doing a good job so far. I keep tabs on the press releases in my district and these removals are ALWAYS folks that I’m glad to see go bye-bye, after my piece of excrement of a city justice system decided not to honor their federal detainers and release them back into my community. Go to the NY/NJ sections and see for yourself :-)

A lot of them (not people on this thread or even site necessarily, the underclass in general) don’t see it as a risk nor even know how it works is the crazy part. They think the market is some esoteric enigma available only to *gasp* generationally wealthy people lol.

The other day I saw a kid in some facebook comment section trying to argue that being landlord doesn’t involve risk since you’re getting paid rent every month 😂

I started socking small amounts away into VPU and VOO a decade ago when I was just a wee junior analyst; besides my physical holdings like silver and a lil platinum. It paid off. Makes you realize that damn, outside of some seriously terrible situation beyond your control like a seriously debilitating physical disability, not owning assets is a choice really. I’m not a damn Harvard MBA lol

can you point to where I said "I want you to suffer"?

whenever you respond to my posts you seem to be reading from some other website on accident maybe you could only keep one tab open at a time so you don't get confused on what you're responding to?

why stop there?

people with cancer or, say, a birth defect don't get to vote so they can't influence healthcare policy.

people who do not currently have children don't get to vote so they can't influence education policy. why should they get to decide how school dollars are spent?

people who have not served in the military don't get to vote. if they haven't demonstrated a commitment to personally defend the country, why should they get a say in its security decisions?

Because snitching is poor form, and it goes alongside doxxing, swatting, etc. it's just shitty behavior, that has no business here on this website and it specifically causes problems. This is a harm reduction support forum, not the local news comment section or reddit.

Especially in a social drug discussion sub forum that has no business even getting to the point of discussing the finer points of illegal immigration. If you come into an unrelated subforum and boast about reporting your neighbors to the law, you're essentially instigating bullshit and conflict and being inflammatory.

If you wanna discuss your stance on immigration in the appropriate subforum, be my guest. Yelling for the government to round up innocent people is still whack and the promotion of violence, but I guess that's another argument.

People like to cry about left wing bias here, but I think people just like to feel persecuted, desire attention, and have no understanding of the finer points of communal social interaction and the management of it required.

Also why do you think there's an "inherent" or perceived leftwing bias here? I'd imagine because it's a supportive community, and anytime I see someone appealing to some moral or legal authority about killing junkies, detaining immigrants, or waging war, it's a conservative. If conservatives want to collaborate with others, or engage at a community level without introducing a bunch of noxious and combative nonsense, they're always welcome to contribute and participate here.

its rather interesting how one side of the political spectrum seeks to continuously exclude more and more people while the other side seeks to include more people 🤔

we can see this in practice in how voting laws are implemented across the US

You said you "would rather implement an IQ test...." I looked it up and that means that you want to implement an IQ test for voters.

That's cool and all but plenty of high IQ people are actually insane.

Idk, it sounds like you were supporting the idea of an iq test requirement for voting as opposed to a net worth requirement. Because you don't think people are sufficiently informed on the issues, or perhaps too dumb to comprehend them?

Sadly it seems like you just doubled down on the intellectual supremacist theme with your above comment. :(

see, rereading the statement in a literal interpretation would suggest that I don't think these policies should be implemented

my statement was an argument on whether or not having money qualifies a person as being able to understand things

it is not, if any test were to show ability to understand things it would be an IQ test

I would appreciate your good faith participation in discussion rather than ascribing things that one did not state

To the point of the thread: I wonder if Trump who will have a better list of presidential quotables by 2029, W. Bush, or Trump? I mean, idk Biden had some good ones too, but it's hard to compare to those guys.
