Yeah, well unfortunately both parties are in agreement with few exceptions on both sides. When it comes to drugs. Even if it would help. However, the process for getting drug approval for non-abusable drugs, is a long process.
However with new drugs known for illicit use; you have a mountain to climb that is higher( no pun intended) than Mt. Everest, K2, and Mt. Kangchenjunga one on top of the other. It is sad that some drugs that really could help people who are in a mental nightmare they can't escape; will not even( as it stands now) be allowed to be seriously tested and go through the various trials and approval process due to public perception.
Guess what( yes I know this is obvious)Opiods; help with pain.
Amphetamines; help adhd, weight loss and guard duty or actually now( Military use in America) only long range Military pilots, and other uses.
Weed; many medical uses.
Cocaine; is used in a solution for some oral, nasal and other areas above the shoulders to numb and also to stop bleeding in those areas.
Unfortunately even though medicine( as in the medical profession, drugs, procedures, treatments, operations, ect...) Is a constantly evolving science. The law makers are like the catholic church back centuries ago and think the earth is flat.( what idiots think that now)? (No, it isn't usually religious, or with any normal religious believers, with these geniuses; they are in their own category of stupid).
That is what the law makers on both sides think.( closed to anything new ideas about medicines; in regards to drugs that are only scene as illicit or bad drugs. The most abused drugs have medical purposes.
They refuse to believe they could be useful.
Many have law degrees. All because you sue doctors doesn't make you one.
Drugs are bad, mmkay. That is general feeling. Let them have weed and maybe that will shut them up. With one hand they allow( not enforcing federal law on low level weed use, sale, growing, ect). With other hand, they take away. I should be on a higher dose of Oxycodone!!!!!!!!!! Nope, Democrat governor and Republican legislature. Weed ok, loosest laws in the country or it was and is close.
A few years back they lowered the already lowered morphine equivalent. Does anyone know if they make a hydrocodone pill without( Tylenol, acetaminophen or paracetamol or whatever you want to call it? How about also no other NSAID)? Then maybe I can get more because oxy is 1.5 times as strong and in their retarded guidlines hydrocodone is equal to morphine.
Even the politicians who would allow it( federal level, the politicians)
MDMA is for people that want help with PTSD in a one time session or also maybe some people like to dose every couple months or whatever. some people do it more, some people do less often. i think the idea of MDMA is to get lasting relief from PTSD after a session of it.
AP's are for people suffering from persistent schizophrenia, they also prescribe it for autism sometimes and some other stuff.. not everyone that has those conditions needs AP's, but they help a lot of people get by.. i think a lot of people with mental health issues don't like to use AP's cause they kill sex drive. they also cause anhedonia for a lot of people too, and they generally aren't the healthiest thing to be taking, some of them cause tardive dyskinesia, so a lot of people get paranoid about being on them...
personally i think something like risperdal is just mildly relaxing so it kind of works as a placebo.. i don't know why they'd be prescribing something for autism and then also people that have a completely different issue like schizophrenia where they are hearing voices outside their head. i don't think the same thing is going to be going on in both of those patient's heads chemically. i think people with autism and schizophrenia both have sensory issues. i dunno, like i said it's kind of relaxing, so i think taking the edge off mostly is just kind of placebo. it doesn't completely cure the issues for everyone. however for some people it does... when i was on risperdal, it didn't stop me from thinking i was being gang stalked, so i was still really paranoid, but i was no longer able to hear voices outside my head for the few months i took it.. i thought the police just stopped having my neighbors harrass me, and then i also thought they might've been fucking with me with V2K or something, and they just turned it off cause they knew i was on meds... didn't really end up helping me.. took me a few years off meds before i could realize i wasn't getting gang stalked... one of the reasons why i don't think forcing people meds works out.
if a person has persistent voices they don't like, sometimes AP's can help... unless a person is having a ton of issues with psychosis, i think it's best to get over the stuff like schizophrenia or at least attempt to get over it with meditation and positive thinking. i feel like they should work more on that in hospitals instead of just jumping to put everyone with pretty different disorders all on the same same meds.... sometimes though, the hallucinations can just be very intense, like i had a few months of terrible insomnia with schizophrenia. the hallucination noises kept waking me from my sleep, and i couldn't sleep for very long. i'd wake up with super high blood pressure and stuff.... some how i got over it though. that was part of the time i thought i was being fucked with by the government. i didn't want to let them win. i thought there was some agenda to put me on meds... i'm glad the voices don't bother me now. i get them a lot in my life presently. they don't really make me paranoid and i realize it's just my mind or some reflection of my thoughts or something, and i realize the voices aren't to be taken seriously.
are too cowardly to really pass any real legislation to open up treatments with many drugs that have a stigma attached.
If people in real pain beg for legal prescription opiods and can't get them, then what hope is there for opening up pharmacology too wide spread use of MDMA, SHROOMS, ECT?
