I said it here months ago. There ain't gonna be no tariffs. "The threat of tariffs has made tariffs unnecessary.". You heard it here first. The really frustrating part is that his base believes that... no matter what.
I have realized why recently, though. Trump makes his followers feel like winners. Him declaring victory after losing, no matter how clear the loss, is a feature, not a bug. Owning the libs and crowing, "We won, we won!" is the point, and the main (sole) point.
The tariffs not happening, prices not dropping, all the stuff the Dems have been figuring would be the perfect schadenfreude, the perfect FAFO, Trumpers will call it 4d Chess and say he planned it all along. It won't matter how much documentation you can provide to show nothing new happened.

My wife taught at an English Language school in the West Bank - school was paid for by USAAID. It provided opportunities for kids who wanted to join the international community a chance to develop the skills needed to do that.

This culture war stuff won't end well for any of us.
