i'd be able to get through this injection if the flu like symptoms weren't so goddamn annoying. does anyone else have a sore throat, watery/itchy eyes and congested face constantly. this is daily torture. not even antihistamines help. i really hope it goes away.

It's not until your life is ruined by invega that you realise all we are is a constant stream of unending consciousness. Like sleep we don't remember i lay my head down and next minute I'm back to the reality that I ruined my life.

You really need to see a competent doctor about your akathisia. There are lots of treatment options you just need to try them

I’ve done shrooms a bunch but still can’t feel weed. I’m also pretty demotivated in general. I guess I’m just going to keep doing shrooms in the hopes that it resets my dopamine receptors. Kind of losing hope though. At least I haven’t had akathisia for a long time. My heart goes out to everyone dealing with that and other symptoms.

Shrooms affect serotonin not dopamine. I found shrooms to really help my PTSD but they are not a cure all. Also if you have any underlying psychiatric issues rarely shrooms can make them worse. So it's best to becareful and not overindulge to much

I know they bind to serotonin receptors but they can indirectly affect dopamine and they promote neuroplasticity

how long have you been recovering. how do you feel nowadays.

yoga definitely helped my anxiety until i got hit by a car.. i still kind of stretch in some subtle ways, but some of the most relaxing yoga poses involved turning my back in ways that will cause me to get some really messed up nerve damage symptoms at this point.

got to be careful learning yoga too that you don't see a pose in a book the wrong way or whatever and stretch the wrong way too hard.. you can pull muscles and what not... always good to find a person to take some lessons. once you get the hang of it though, you're good... if you don't have an instructor that knows what they are doing, just start really slow.. maybe read some different books with the same poses, so you have a better understanding if one book doesn't explain well enough.

this is just general advice for anyone interested in yoga.

I would also recommend weightlifting for boosting your mood. It has really boosted my mood alot and being in shape has really helped my confidence overall. I may be 42 years old (almost 40 fucking 3!) but i am in far better shape now then when i was 20 and working at bricklaying all day. I use 50lbs and 60lbs dumbbells i could never lift that much when i was young.

When i was on invega and abilify i was 225lbs of fat. Then i went on the very shitty latuda and rapidly lost weight until i was barely 170lbs. I got to skinny for awile. So i wanted to get in shape and now im 205lbs of mostly muscle. I am still on the zypexa but i get no weight gain from it.

I am convinced though that invega and abilify fucked my testosterone levels. Mine where lower then my friend who is on daily methadone. Thankfully after just 2 injections of testosterone my levels are now more or less normal. I get 0 side effects from the test and i have way more energy since going on it. I have noticed a increase in muscle definition as well and i gained almost 10lbs since going on test about 3 months ago

Yup, here's to hoping. Even been using my pc a few hours a day these past 3-4 days. Traveling to see family more etc. Sleep fucked though, I think due to a rebound of drinking alcohol now it seems I can feel it again. Can't really describe it, there is just less of a suffering feeling, even if doing nothing.

Alcohol is horrible if your trying to recover from antipsychotics. It is one of the worst drugs to take during recovery imo.

Yup, true that. I was just in amazement I could feel something from it after months, so overindulged a lot. I can just never sleep after drinking which is not ideal given the situation.

I e er drank on invega but i did drink on abilify, latuda, risperdal and zyprexa. I had no problem getting drunk on either

So its been since oct 2013 on invega sustenna every month. antipsychotics from court ordered hospital stays since 2010.
I get high on everything except caffeine which is disappointing cuz my favorite combo used to be pot and coffee.
While I still enjoy pot and coffee, stims don't really work.
I couldn't find pot for about 20 months in 2011 to 2013.
But I noticed major benefits returning to it.
I understand there's a lot of invega sufferers who don't get high.
But then I also found psychdelics again which work amazing.
Rather than just drinking beers all day long, which I also do.

It's technically not forced injections like it was at first. But I live with my parents. And my dad makes appointments for me even tho he knows how much I detest him for it. and to live here, instead of public housing, where they would make you do subject to invega anyway, I cooperate with them and they let me do pretty much anything here. And like I said, I'm happy here. Just invega is the biggest negative influence on my life.

I told my dad when he dies, I'm no longer going to make appointments. Which is sad.
Hope you two find better times.
You are a liar bro

Hallucinogens and stimulants don't get you high when there's antipsychotics in your brain chronically
