Donald Trump is planning an executive order that would lead to the removal of all transgender members of the US military, defence sources say.

The order could come on his first day back in the White House, January 20. There are believed to be about 15,000 active service personnel who are transgender. They would be medically discharged, which would determine that they were unfit to serve.

I’m sure that Ohio residents are really excited to have men like this guy (transgender man) in the same bathroom as their daughters now that they aren’t allowed to use the men’s room….

I think it is important to empathize conservative Ohio residents. Anyone with functioning belief system does not give a fuck anyway.

It is bizarre how big gap there is between average right voter and average right politics maker. Average right politics maker is essentially in war with that average right voter, but average right voter does not even realize that and does not understand to fight back. Average right voter would probably pee on their shoe rack if average right politics maker told it is in their best interests.

But at least in my country, it feels like average left politics maker is not much better. Some of them are also incredibly focused on their own career and wellbeing first and foremost and might also be utterly incompetent at what they do.

It's for students at schools. If that 64 year old is in school bathrooms with students then that's a completely different issue
 
You know... they have teachers at schools.

And there are lots of old students in universities and trade schools.

All I see is excuses and mental gymnastics.

Not necessarily. No group should be treated as a monolith.

I think it's pretty widely accepted at this point that autogynephilia exists though.
How do you allow average trans women into female spaces while at the same time preventing men engaging in a sexual paraphilia from doing the same?

I don't claim to have all the answers, but I do think it's important to distinguish laws that apply to public schools versus the wider general population.

If society never has a good faith dialogue on issues like these I don't know how we ever get past them. Both sides just become more bitter and entrenched in their views.
